3 Temperature regulation Quick measurement results are essential for optimal temperature control. Pfaudler s fused-in glass lining solutions offer a clear advantage they are in direct contact with the medium. Sometimes speed is key! 3 Fused-in resistance thermometer (TW) The functionality of Pfaudler s type TW probe is based on the temperature dependence of the electric resistance of platinum. The platinum measuring unit, a PT 100 resistance thermometer, is fused into the glass lining. Fused-in thermocouple (T) In the Pfaudler type T temperature probe, the temperature is measured exactly where it is needed. A Pallaplat thermocouple is fused into the glass lining. The temperature is determined by the measured thermovoltage. Temperature monitoring For slow processes in which optimal temperature regulation is not required, simple and cost-effective temperature measurement is available. Inserted temperature sensor (TMI) Pfaudler s type TMI temperature probe is a robust, simple and costeffective solution for measuring temperature. The measuring insert a Pt100 resistance thermometer is pressed by spring action to the bottom of the probe's carrier. At the point of contact, the carrier s wall thickness is reduced and the surface is gold coated in order to ensure permanent, improved heat transfer.

4 4 Functional principle The Pfaudler glass lining technology allows sensors to be embedded in the glass lining, providing ultra-fast reacting temperature measurements.
