2 Overview In 2007, Saturn migrated from the Saturn Retail Reimbursement system to the Global Warranty Management (GWM) system As a result; retailers now have access to National Vehicle History (NVH) data. NVH data from the GM Dealer Web site contains information about a vehicle and all of the service operations performed on that vehicle through the lifespan of that vehicle. The NVH Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) request data includes: vehicle information campaign information service order history information Note: With this release, you must enter all 17 characters of the VIN when conducting a VIN search. Note: Used vehicles added to inventory manually or as part of a trade-in, automatically generate an NVH record which can be found at the Work With NVH screen. The following Dealerline screens and windows have been changed to provide National Vehicle History (NVH) functionality. 3 Set Up Your DealerWorld ID IMPORTANT! Your ID and password on the DealerWorld Web site and the DMS are case-sensitive and must match ID before you can add an NVH record or initiate an NVH request. NOTE: Because your GM-DealerWorld password expires every 60 days, you must periodically change your password to keep NVH functioning properly. 1. The last date the password was changed displays at the Password Last Changed field. a. At the GM-DealerWorld User ID field, type your User ID. b. At the GM-DealerWorld Password field, type a password for the ID. c. At the Verify Password field, type the password you typed in the previous step. 9. Press Enter to save your changes. The password will work for the next 60 days. Repeat these steps every 60 days. 10. You are now set to use NVH. Press F3 (Exit) three times to return to the SERVICELINE MAIN MENU. 6 Conduct an NVH Search Conduct an NVH VIN search for an existing customer from the Service Order Hub 1. From the SERVICELINE MAIN MENU, select 1 - Service Order Hub). The Service Order Hub (SV120001) screen displays. 2. Select and display a service order for an existing customer. The customer and vehicle information display on the Service Order Hub screen. The message: NVH has been submitted. displays at the bottom of the Service Order Hub (SV120001) screen. The NVH is automatically applied to your system. 7. You can now review or compare the NVH the NVH information at the Work With NVH screen. Press F11 (History) or refer to Access the Work With NVH Screen for more information. 8 Conduct an NVH VIN search for a new customer from the Vehicles for Service Orders screen 1. From the SERVICELINE MAIN MENU, select 1 (Service Order Hub). The Service Order Hub screen displays. Vehicles for Service Orders (SV125501) screen Changes to the Vehicles for Service Orders screen include: The addition of the F2 (NVH Add) option. 5. Type an X in the Opt field next to a VIN, then press F2 (NVH Add). The new Initiate NVH window displays. Figure 10. Initiate NVH (SV183001) window 6. Type the entire 17-character VIN and press Enter. A request for the NVH data is submitted to the GM Dealer Web site. The message: NVH has been submitted. displays at the bottom of the Vehicles for Service Orders (SV125501) screen. 10 8. You have two options: You can now review or compare the NVH information at the Work With NVH screen. On the Service Order Hub screen, press F11 (History) or refer to Access the Work With NVH Screen for more information. OR To enter customer information: a. Locate the VIN in the VIN table on the Vehicles for Service Orders screen. b. Select the VIN and press F14 (Cust) to display the Work With Common Name and Address screen. c. Enter the customer's information. d. After you add or select a customer, click OK to return to the Service Order Hub screen which displays the vehicle and customer information. 10 of 26 May 2009 ADP, Inc. B20918
11 Conduct an NVH Request Conduct an NVH VIN request from the Customer Vehicle screen 1. From the SERVICELINE MAIN MENU, select 1 - Service Order Hub. The Service Order Hub screen displays. Figure 11. Service Order Hub screen 2. Press F14 - Cust. The Work With Common Name and Address screen displays. 3. Select a customer with more than one vehicle, (the customer name is associated with more than one vehicle has a plus sign (+) to the right of the listed vehicle). 4. Press Enter. Note. 13 Conduct an NVH request from the Work With Service Order History Summary screen You can access the Work With Service Order History Summary (SV160001) screen from several points in Dealerline, such as the Work With Service Vehicle screen and others. In this example, you will access it from the Service Order Hub. 1. From the SERVICELINE MAIN MENU, select 1 - Service Order Hub. The Service Order Hub screen displays. 2. Select and display a service order for an existing customer. The customer and vehicle information displays on the Service Order Hub screen. Figure 14. 14 4. The Work With Service Order History Summary screen displays. Figure 15. Work With Service Order History Summary (SV160001) screen Changes to the Work With Service Order History Summary screen include: You can press F18 (NVH) to initiate an NVH request. This option is only available if the vehicle is a Saturn vehicle in a Saturn company. 5. Press F18 (NVH). The new Initiate NVH window displays. Figure 16. Initiate NVH (SV183001) window 6. Press Enter. The message NVH has been submitted displays at the bottom of the Work With Service Order History Summary screen. The NVH is automatically applied to your system. 7. 15 Access the Work With NVH Screen The Saturn Service application allows you to view GM's National Vehicle History (NVH) information or history for a vehicle that you are adding or already exists on your system. National Vehicle History contains a list of all service operations performed on a vehicle through the life-span of that vehicle. To display the Work With NVH screen: 1. From the SERVICELINE MAIN MENU, select 5 - VEHICLES/CNA/PO/LTG/NVH. The VEHICLES/CNA/PO/LTG/NVH/PDT screen displays. Figure 17. VEHICLES/CNA/PO/LTG/NVH/PDT screen (SVM500) 2. Do one of the following: To compare and review vehicle information, type X at the Opt field next to the VIN field, and press Enter. Proceed to step 5. Chose from one of the following six functions on the Review NVH screen (these options are described in the following pages). 18 Function #1 Display the NVH detail a. Type 7 - NVH Detail in the Opt field next to the service order you want to review and press Enter. The new NVH Detail screen displays. Figure 20. NVH Detail (SV185301) screen b. Press Enter to return to the Review NVH screen. Function #2 - Compare NVH vehicle information to data on your local system: a. 19 Function #3 - To view existing campaigns for the vehicle: a. Select a service order and press F16 - Campaigns. The new Campaigns window displays. Figure 21. Campaigns (SV185501) window b. Press Enter to return to the Review NHV screen. Function #4 - Apply NVH vehicle information to your system: If a Y displays in the Compare Vehicle Info (F14) field, then some of the NVH vehicle information is different from the information on your system. a. Press F17 - Apply Veh. The message Vehicle information successfully applied appears in the message area at the bottom of the Review NVH screen. b. Press F3 to return to the Work With NVH screen. Function #5 - Apply NVH vehicle history information to your system: a. Press F18 - Apply Hist. The message History information successfully applied appears in the message area at the bottom of the Review NVH screen. b. Press F3 to return to the Work With NVH screen. Function #6 - Apply both NVH vehicle information and NVH vehicle history information to your system a. Press F20 - Apply All. The message Vehicle, History information successfully applied appears in the message area at the bottom of the Review NVH screen. b. Press F3 to return to the Work With NVH screen. 20 Compare Vehicle Information To compare vehicle information on your local system with NVH information available from GM: 1. From the Review NVH screen, press F14 - Compare Veh. The new NVH Compare Vehicle screen displays. An X displays in the Sel field next to the information you can apply to your system (the cursor only moves next to information that is different between NVH and your system). Figure 22. 21 To compare NVH vehicle options with your local vehicle options: a. Select an X and press F15 (NVH Compare Vehicle Options). The new NVH Compare Vehicle Options window displays. Figure 23. 22 Delete an NVH record Use this option to delete an NVH record from your local system. 1. Begin at the Work With NVH screen. Figure 24. Work With NVH screen - Delete 2. Press Enter to delete the NVH record and return to the Work With NVH screen or press F12 to do nothing and return to the Work With NVH screen. 25 esupport Use esupport to follow up on an existing case or to create a new case regarding a system issue. 1. In your browser, type The DealerSuite page displays. 2. At the DealerSuite Login, type your username and password. These are case-sensitive fields: Make sure you use the correct case capitals or lower-case. 3. Select Login. 4. Select Support Solutions under Related Links located on the right side of the page. 5. Next, select Support, then Case Management. The Case Management page displays. 6. Select Support from the menu bar at the top right of the page and select Case Management from the dropdown menu. The Case Management page displays. 7. You can select to either search for an existing case by selecting Search or open a new case by selecting New Case. 8. In order to create a new case, select New Case. Required fields have a red asterisk (*) next to them and they must be filled out in order to create a new case. 9. Type, verify, or select information at the following fields to create the case: CMF System Name Comment Service Region Phone Number Priority Application Code 10. After all the above fields have been completed, then type the problem in the Problem field. 11. Include the case details in the Details field, within the details field include the following information: Company Number, if applicable Detailed description of the current issue Details of troubleshooting already performed Associated case number, if applicable 12. Select the home center check box if you only want this case to be in your home center. 13. Select the phone call check box if you would like to get updates by phone in addition to updates. 26 14. To complete the case, select Submit. A case number will be generated. Please record the case number for further inquires. 15. Log off from DealerSuite.
