11 Processing Steps (1) Supplier 8D Functionalities Registration supplier claim using SAP quality notification (D1, D2, D3) as well as notification owner (champion), supplier, material number, claimed quantity, defects etc. Assigning purchase order, delivery and possible inspection lot of goods receipt or the internal related problem notification as well as customer complaint to the supplier claim Immediate corrective actions and documentation in the notification Systematic check up if defect could be already identified and if there are repeated defects. Search for similar supplier defects with system help Request 8D-Report from supplier as an EXCEL-Formula based on VDA from quality notification Requested 8D report (download via XML as EXCEL-Formula) maintains all data from q- notification and will be send via with attachments (pictures etc.) to supplier Receiving supplier s 8D feedback via Upload suppliers 8D report as attachment in SAP quality notification 11
