7 Asset Management Policy: Part 1 The Policy has been reviewed by Lloyds Register and found to match the requirements of ISO55001 Section 5.2 Policy. Some minor changes were recommended which are incorporated into this latest revision. A focus on the three imperatives has been added and linked with asset management.
8 Asset Management Policy: Part 2 Incorporated into the Policy are a set of Asset Management Principles which set out the approach to be adopted in line with the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Conceptual Model. Also incorporated is a supporting statement from the CEO Jim O Sullivan. The Policy is also signed by the CEO.
9 SAMP: The Big Blue Book Structure & Format The s-amp is the central reference point for all asset management activities and decision making across Highways England. The s-amp structure is based around the ISO requirements, but the content is specific to Highways England. Is a DfT Licence requirement. Approach ensures the s-amp is holistic and covers the necessary activities demonstrating consistency with the individual shall statements. This approach allows Highways England asset management stakeholders to practise the activities of asset management without the need to refer to the ISO55000 Series. This is a critical success factor for making asset management part of everyday activities within Highways England.
