9 Capral 868 Series NSW Public Works Department Suite Capral 888 Series Queensland School Suite Designed in conjunction with the New South Wales Public Works Department, the 868 PWD Suite is widely used in government and public building applications. The suite offers an integrated range of sliding, awning and double hung windows and sliding doors. With a proven track record, it s durable, low maintenance design makes it a popular choice for public works applications such as educational facilities, sporting stadiums, hospitals, public halls, administration buildings and the like. The suite can accept a range of standard Capral door panels and accommodates glass thicknesses from 4mm to 10mm. Aluminium - The Sustainable Metal Aluminium boasts one of the highest recycling rates of any metal. At the end of their long life, Capral aluminium window and door extrusions can be readily recycled. Recycling aluminium requires as little as 5% of the energy required to produce the virgin metal. This means the aluminium currently in circulation may be reused for the benefit of many future generations. Coatings and Finishes Capral uses and recommends Interpon powder coatings which contain no organic solvents or heavy metal pigments such as lead. With 7, 10, or 15 year global warranty options for colour and film integrity, Interpon finishes offer high performance and reduced maintenance. In addition to traditional anodised finishes Capral also offers a new Satin Etch technology that provides an aesthetically pleasing finish whilst using less energy and significantly reducing waste by-products. Thermally Efficient Window and Door Systems During their use phase, high performance aluminium window and door systems can deliver significant reductions in energy required for heating and cooling. The energy saved by using high performance window and door systems can be many hundreds of times greater than that consumed to produce the original aluminium extrusions. Understanding the full life cycle impact of products requires manufacturing processes and materials to be traced back to their source. National Manufacturing Footprint Capral s national manufacturing footprint means that our extrusions, where practicable are produced close to where they are required. This helps minimise the impact of sea and road freight, reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Extensive Distribution Network Capral s products are transported in bulk loads to regional distribution centres that are within close proximity of our fabricators. The consolidation of fabricator deliveries where practicable also helps minimise the impact of road freight, further reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
