3 FORTUNE/DIAMOND HEADLAND FORTUNE /DIAMOND An agricultural wetter/spreader. Contains 75% mixed fatty acid esters of seed oil and n-butanol. An emulsifiable spray adjuvant specially formulated to enhance the wetting, spreading and penetration of herbicides, fungicides and micronutrients. Crops: Numerous - see below. Pack size: 2.5, 5 or 10 litres Packs per pallet: 48 x 4 x 2.5 litres, 40 x 4 x 5 litres, 36 x 2 x 10 litres Introduction: HEADLAND FORTUNE/DIAMOND is a multi-functional spray adjuvant developed as a penetrating surfactant concentrate with superior wetting and penetrating properties. HEADLAND FORTUNE/DIAMOND works equally well with oil-based and water-based formulations due to its special emulsifier system and is ideally suited for use in multi-product tank mixes. HEADLAND FORTUNE/DIAMOND is a highly effective replacement for mineral oils used with e.g. fop and dim herbicides, Sugar Beet herbicides etc. In more than 5 years of field trials, 0.5 litres of HEADLAND FORTUNE has effectively replaced 1.0 litre of traditional mineral oil and is recommended by numerous herbicide manufacturers for application with their products. Directions for Use: HEADLAND FORTUNE/DIAMOND may be used with approved pesticides in accordance with the Conditions of Use (see below). The Conditions of Use of the partner pesticide must also be complied with. Use HEADLAND FORTUNE/DIAMOND at a concentration of % of total spray volume ( ml per 100 litres of water or pro rata). When used with Sugar Beet herbicides, this rate may be increased to 0.85% of water volume if required. Use the higher rate under difficult conditions such as high weed populations (herbicides), high disease pressures (fungicides), dense canopies, weather stress etc. Do not use HEADLAND FORTUNE/DIAMOND with any pesticide which is to be applied in or near water. Mixing: Charge the sprayer with half the recommended volume of water and the pesticide in accordance with the manufacturer s instructions. Add the required amount of HEADLAND FORTUNE/DIAMOND followed by the remaining water requirement as the last operation. Maintain agitation whilst mixing, travelling and spraying. Clean all equipment thoroughly after use. PAGE 3

7 GLOW HEADLAND GLOW An agricultural water conditioner. A preparation of sequestering, chelating and buffering agents for softening and conditioning water used for spraying agricultural chemicals. Crops: Any. Pack size: 5 litres Packs per pallet: 40 x 4 x 5 litres Introduction: The performance of many agrochemicals and fertilisers is impeded when applied with water which is either alkaline, hard, brackish or contaminated with insoluble deposits and impurities of calcium, magnesium, bicarbonates etc. In such conditions agrochemicals and fertilisers that are prone to hydrolysis may degrade or precipitate, resulting in poor performance due to lack of active ingredients particularly when multi-product tank mixing is required. Mode of Action: HEADLAND GLOW contains a blend of chemicals that soften and condition the water and optimise the pesticide or fertiliser application: Complexed acidifiers to reduce ph and minimise hydrolysis; A long-chain polymer based water softener; A sequestering agent to isolate cationic contaminants; Buffering agents to improve tank-mixing compatibility; Spreading and sticking agents to enhance foliar cover. Directions for Use: The hardness of the spray water determines the amount of HEADLAND GLOW to be added to the spray tank. Soft water 0.5 l/1000 l water (0.05% or 100ml/200 l) Med/hard water 1 l/1000 l water (0.1% or 200ml/200 l) Hard water 2 l/1000 l water (0.2% or 400ml/200 l) If the degree of hardness of the water is unknown, the amount of HEADLAND GLOW required may be determined by use of a water testing kit. Water testing kit: Take a 1 litre sample from the water supply. Add 1 measured dose (0.5ml = 1 pump) of HEADLAND GLOW Testing Indicator to the water to obtain an initial colour. Continue to add measured 0.5ml quantities of Testing Indicator until a yellow/amber colour is achieved. At ph 5.0 and above the water is blue. At ph 4.9 and below the water colour will change to green. At ph 4.3 and below the water will change to yellow. PAGE 7

8 GLOW Every 0.5ml of Testing Indicator added to the test sample is equivalent to 250ml of HEADLAND GLOW added to 1000 litres of spray-tank water. It is advisable to check samples of water regularly as ph of water can vary frequently. Mixing: Always add the required amount of HEADLAND GLOW to the water in the spray tank and agitate to ensure dispersion before adding the pesticide or fertiliser. Storage: Keep dry and cool in a suitable chemical store. Protect from frost - store above 5 C. Regulatory Information: The European Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP Regulation) the EU Globally Harmonised Systems (GHS) apply to this product.
