4 Press conference: A press conference dedicated to the opening of WorldFood Uzbekistan 2013 was held on 29 March, with accredited journalists, representatives of leading trade and general outlets, and TV and radio channel representatives all taking part. 5 Opening ceremony The following made speeches at the exhibition's opening ceremony: A. Kamalov - First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan Andrzej Dycha - Deputy Minister of Economy of Poland and Co-Chair of the Polish-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Z. Teshaev - First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources of Uzbekistan T. Bozorov - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Kambarov - Chairman of the Food Industry Association of Uzbekistan S. Asamov - Deputy Chairman of the Uzulgurzhisavdoinvest retail association N. Hasanova - General Director of ITE Uzbekistan Representatives from government bodies, ministries, agencies, associations and the diplomatic corps also took part. The ceremony nished with a VIP tour around the exhibition, with of cial guests having an opportunity to see the stands of exhibitors.

6 WorldFood Uzbekistan's exhibitors presented a huge range of food products: meat and sausages, cured meats, canned fruit and vegetables, fresh fruit, canned goods, teas, semi-processed products, snacks and baked goods. The Food Industry Technology section occupied a leading position at the exhibition, featuring companies including Engineering Solutions, Bread Market, Kropotkin Plant, Profood, West eisch, Steinemann, Kronen, EXIMA and China Huaji Industrial. The Baking Equipment sector also stood out with exhibitors including Fritsch, Wachtel, Rondo, Diosna, MIWE, Jac, FIMAK and Voskhod. As well as this, the Ingredients sector expanded, with Deling Food, Top Star Food, Aroma Classic, SoyuzOptTorg, Hercules, Tereza Inter, AB Mauri Food Sales and Marketing and Guangxi Forise Yeast among the exhibitors. This exhibitor spread is representative of the current demands of the market high-quality products from local ingredients. For the second time, Ipack Uzbekistan, held alongside WorldFood Uzbekistan, brought together companies whose products are most in demand among food producers. This inter-industry exhibition gave an ideal presentation of the full production cycle - from raw materials to the nished product on the shelf. Ipack Uzbekistan exhibitors included AVIS, Ave Technologies, Sirdayo Mega Luks/Biaksplen and SP Zeta Teks, showcasing complete bottling lines, PET equipment, packaging lm, and other solutions.

7 25% domestic manufacturers 75% of all exhibitors were from outside Uzbekistan A German national group exhibited for the third time, helping the country to have the second largest amount of exhibitors after Uzbekistan. 21 German companies exhibited, 15 in the national group. A Malaysian national group, supported by the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers, returned to the exhibition for its second participation. WorldFood Uzbekistan was divided into the following sections: Food and drink products Food ingredients, additives and spices Equipment for the food industry Equipment for supermarkets and restaurants.
