2 ADRA Sénégal! ADRA Senegal works with people in poverty and distress in Senegal to achieve sustainable just and positive development changements and in case of emergency situations to bring support and relief to the affected populations. It does so through empowering partnerships, responsible action and projects in the domains of:! Public Health Prevention! Basic Education,! Emergency Management

ADRA Senegal works in Senegal since 1986 and is part of the wider ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) International non-governmental relief organization network present in more then 125 countries in the world. ADRA demonstrates respect for diversity, treating people with equality, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or economic, political, and religious differences.! In 1997 ADRA was granted General Consultative Status by the United Nations! The Africa Regional Headquarters is based in Nairobi - Kenya and the International supporting offices are in Europe, North America and Australia.! In 2012 ADRA was able to help more than 12.5 million people around the world.

Up to beneniciaries over 4 years 14 t of Milk Powder of an value of approximately USD has been distributed Capacity Building in agriculture, income generating activities (IGA) 400 women trained in vegetable garden techniques, community garden fenced, equipped with seeds and agricultural tools 270 primary school children trained in school vegetable garden techniques, school yard fenced, equipped with seeds and agricultural tools Children from 5-69 months were monitored for malnutrition and received milk powder complementary feeding rations enriched with vitamin A and E and other micronutrients. Health: ADRA Spain ADRA Switzerland ADRA International Emergency Relief ADRA International ADRA International Support to Health Dispensary in Rural District of Niaguis Ziguinchor Region Casamance around beneniciaries each year over last 15 years ,91 USD Urban Public Health Prevention - Free health check in hyper- tension and diabetes and sensitization of population (Adults and Youth) of 8 vulnerable Dakar City parts beneniciaries USD to reduction to risk behaviors in prevention of Non communicable Diseases - Support to Nlood affected households in the city of Dakar 565 beneniciaries USD Support to Nlood affected households in the city of Dakar 650 beneniciaries USD Equipment and renovation of Health Dispensary in Niaguis, Support in furnishing medication and medical supplies, Financing of volunteer nurses from Switzerland, Germany and Romania, HR support, Facilitating access to general Medical treatment and gynecological treatment, Public health capacity building of staff and health relays of villages in the rural district, Public health awareness and vaccination campaigns Adult and Youth in 8 vulnerable urban Dakar Region parts have been sensitized through creative health, nutrition and cooking sensitizations and have been sensitized to reduce risk behaviors leading to non communicable diseases (NCD) in the domain of hyper- tension, diabetes, etc. 113 households affected by the Nloods in the Dakar district of Pikine, RuNisque and Guediawaye received hygiene kits and non- food items (NFI). 130 households affected by the Nloods in the Dakar district of Pikine, Municipality of Djiddah Thiaroye Kao received hygiene kits and non- food items (NFI).
5 Important things achieved during the past years! people have seen their access to health services improved through public health sensitization, health relays capacity training and better equipped health center in the rural community of Niaguis - Region of Ziguinchor! people have seen their household income increase and their resilience in food security strengthened by their participation in community vegetable market garden and they have seen their nutritional intake diversified in their rural community of Ouro Sidy - Region of Matam. the community vegetable market garden has been connected to the existing village water system network and continues to function, it gives the beneficiaries the opportunity to plant and harvest off-season! 565 people affected by flooding supported through emergency relief in the Departments of Pikine, Rufisque and Guediawaye in the Region of Dakar. The project answered to an identified need of a vulnerable population group that just had lost a good part of their belongings in the floods. The hygiene and NFI items distributed contributed in illnesses prevention (Malaria, Diarrhea, etc.)! 650 people affected by flooding supported through emergency relief in the Departments of Pikine, municipality of Djiddah Thiaroye Kao. The project answered to an identified need of a vulnerable population group that just had lost a good part of their belongings in the floods. The hygiene and NFI items distributed contributed in illnesses prevention (Malaria, Diarrhea, etc.)! people sensitized in 8 urban vulnerable Dakar Region parts to Public Health Prenvention through health, nutrition and cooking sensitization with the aim to contribute to the reduction of risks behaviors leading to Non Communicable Diseases
