FAR-UV STERILRAY

THE FACTS: 1 in 3 people believe they have caught a virus from an ill co-worker (Infection Control Today, 2003) 80% of employees report regularly going to work while sick (University of Arizona Health Services, 2013)

THE COST: $576 Billion per year = cost to employers for sick days used by employees (Forbes/US Task Force) $160 Billion per year = loss in decreased productivity due to employees working with illness (Nationalpartnership.com) $80 Billion per year = Loss of revenue due to sick leave/absenteeism (Nationalpartnership.com) $836 Billion is the total cost of sick employees

PREVENTION is key. If employers can prevent illness from spreading among employees, productivity will increase and revenue will no longer be lost.

Far-UV Sterilray Disinfects & Sterilizes (to %) Far-UV Sterilray is a new technology that is up to 10-1,000 times more effective than the germicidal UV-C- 254 nanometer(nm). What it does- Far-UV Sterilray beams shatter the DNA structure of targeted micro-organisms in MRSA, VRE, Klebsiella, Ebola, C. diff spores, viruses as well as mold, fungus and others.

Far-UV Sterilray Far-UV Sterilray is a patented technology that uses the 222 nm wavelength at 100mj/cm 2 to kill pathogens in two ways: 1. Destroys the hydrogen bonding in DNA, resulting in misreading during replication, translation and transcription. 2. Breaks up the pathogen's cell wall, effectively killing the organisms instantly.

Far-UV Sterilray vs. Bacillus Atrophaeus Far-UV Sterilray is breaking bonds and killing pathogens Side wall ruptures and the separation of its parts is caused by an explosive force of high-energy photons Jan University of New Hampshire

The Far-UV Sterilray Advantage Far-UV Sterilray takes seconds to kill pathogens compared to the 20 minutes it takes UV-C to be effective. Instantly ready for use without the need for warm up time Wide operating temperature range; variable power capability Long lamp life because it does not use electrodes Lamps contain no hazardous materials ie: mercury Not harmful to humans and is safe to be in its presence

Dry, chemical free disinfection. Residue free Additional Advantages of Far-UV Sterilray No breakdown or fading of rubber or plastic items. Easy to operate without need for educational training/experience Easy to disinfect personal items before and during work such as cell phones.

Applications of Far-UV Sterilray In the workplace Disinfects clipboards, binders, pens, tape, scissors, other desk supplies Disinfects phones, computers/mice, printers, other office equipment Disinfects furniture and frequently touched surfaces such as countertops, door handles, railings, etc.

INDEPENDENT LAB RESULTS The Pathogen Reduction Box (PRB) using Far-UV Sterilray technology was tested in a clinical setting for its effectiveness against MRSA, VRE, and C. difficile. * 20 Remote controls were disinfected using the PRB for 60 seconds without adjusting the positioning of the remote control in the PRB. * 20 Remote controls were sampled for MRSA, VRE, C.Diff, and total bacteria before and after PRB treatment. Results: A 10 fold reduction of bacteria on remote control surfaces. The largest reduction in the smallest amount of time was Clean HA MRSA at 5 seconds of FAR-UV+ exposure with kills of 4 log. Complete HA MRSA eradication was accomplished in the trials. This correlates to a greater than 98% reduction in aerobic bacteria; limited only by the amount of bacteria on the controls. Lab studies show that the PRB is capable of reducing 4 logs of MRSA or more.
