11 SHAPING2030 TOWARDS A NEW STRATEGIC VISION WHY A NEW STRATEGY? Vision2020 ( ) is broad and aimed at flexibility. But:Vision2020 does not address how the UT should deal with certain (new) trends and developments. This includes (new) developments that are potentially disruptive.

12 STELLINGEN In 2030 my work should be radically different from now due to Big Data and digitalization developments. In 2030, digitalization and big-data developments will have made a large part of our campus virtual, for example because half of our physical research labs have disappeared. In 2030, managerial decision making should be heavily dominated by algorithms. In 2030, all forms of assessment should happen digitally and without human interference. In 2030 the UT should become customer-centered: it has changed from supply-driven to demand-driven enabled by Big Data and digitalization.
