4 In my opinion this type of activity is what I call a best practice and I would certainly strongly suggest to Deans that they take a look at this kind of learning experience as a best practice and think about the role it could play in their own curriculum. 5 The Education Alliance Program is designed to build on the value of a classroom education by providing students and faculty with access to real-world business tools, and projects that encourage them to engage in critical thinking and problem solving. The intent is to give both technology and business students a competitive edge as they pursue career opportunities, and provide an experiential understanding of the interaction among various departments how IT supports business management, and how business needs define IT projects, for example so they can better prepare for the future. 7 The Infor EAP Process: How does it work? Discover Decide Through continued discussion and feedback, the institution and Infor determine which EAP offerings and Infor solutions, technologies and industries best support student learning objectives for classroom integration and project work, Centers of Excellence, or selfdirected study. Plan Details are finalized for successfully training the institution Solution lead(s) and IT Administrator; developing a Train- The-Trainer plan; plus deploying and marketing selected offerings and solutions into the development/integration into courseware and learning activities. Infor provides SME assistance, best practice insights, and on-going support. Enable Infor supports the institution by providing free train-the-trainer training to the IT Administrator and Solution lead(s); assists leads in successfully implementing faculty-led programming and developing integrated materials for student projects and self-directed learning activities; and can partner on the creation of thought leadership content. Accreditation & Certification For: Eligible students currently enrolled High School, Undergraduate, Graduate, and Ph.D. candidates What: Students interested in developing sales and marketing skills or building deeper technical proficiency can freely access curricula available through Infor Campus to be certified on: Infor ION middleware to achieve application integration expertise Infor Mongoose to achieve application development expertise Infor SyteLine to achieve functional ERP expertise Impact: Mastery and certification achieved through this initiative may lead to employment at Infor, our partners or customers, as well as enable entrepreneurial students to pursue becoming Infor consultants or partners.
