3 Our Profile As Iraq emerges from years of violence, war and dictatorship, the opportunities for international companies are unprecedented, particularly in the energy sector. But conditions in the country are still challenging and continue to pose tough security, HSE and logistics dilemmas. Ardan offers a range of security and logistics solutions underpinned by years of experience supporting the energy sector in Iraq. Our success and our point of difference is that we understand Iraq and know how to deliver to the oil and gas sector. In 2004 Ardan supported the market entry of the first western oil company to enter the country for 30 years. Since then the company has supported and protected the operations of over 10 oil operators and several oil service companies throughout Iraq. We provide security for a range of exploration and production activities. These include the protection of: oil and gas facilities; seismic acquisitions; pipeline construction projects; and drilling programmes. Ardan also provides Executive Protection, market entry and other related services for a range of clients in the energy and government sector. We provide logistics, manpower and service facilities from our hub in Kurdistan. Ardan s business practices are underpinned by the highest standards of safety, integrity and respect for human rights. We have an enviable HSE record and our operations are delivered in accordance with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights. The company is also an active participant in the United Nations Global Compact.

Most of our security supervisors have NEBOSH qualifications and all are familiar with safety issues on oil and gas sites. To date we have had no serious HSE incidents or fatalities on any of our projects in Iraq. Our Investment in People We have an unremitting focus on selecting, training and retaining high quality people. Our expatriate security personnel have years of experience in Kurdistan and the oil sector. We recruit heavily from the special forces but we also have linguists, medics, community relations experts and communications specialists. All our personnel are culturally sensitive with an aptitude for training and developing local Iraqi talent. We have a high proportion of Iraqi managers within the company and it is company policy to support this trend. Over the last few years we have sponsored local employees on training and management courses. Our local security personnel are vetted by the Ministry of the Interior and the Asaish and are recruited close to the areas in which they work. We extend our influence and our security blanket by engaging with the community and developing good relations, and in doing so we improve our ability to handle security issues. The system performs trend analysis using data sourced from our intelligence database, with incidents tagged by location, region, date and type. Analysis and Assessment We provide project-specific assessments, delivered via our secure, online system. This ensures that our clients are kept bestinformed of the issues relevant to their investments. Our intelligence managers are educated to a postgraduate level in conflict or middle east studies and have extensive experience in Iraq. We have a proven record planning and executing complex security solutions for a wide range of oil and gas activities. Executive Protection Ardan has fully equipped armoured vehicles and close protection teams available for use for short visits or Executive Protection tasks. All vehicles are monitored and tracked at Ardan s operations room at our base in Erbil, Kurdistan, using state-of-the-art tracking and crisis management technology and backed up by our Quick Reaction Force. Protecting Facilities and Infrastructure Ardan is able to offer security protection services for drilling rigs, camps, plants and other oil and gas facilities. Our processes and procedures are established - we currently protect the most number of drilling rigs in Iraq, an LPG plant, CPF facilities, two pipelines and numerous offices, camps and warehouses. Training of Security Teams Security training at all levels based on the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights, tailored to the oil and gas sector and delivered by ex-special forces personnel. Land Mine & Unexploded Ordinance Surveys Ardan can offer specialist personnel trained in ERW (Explosive Remnants of War) and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) surveys. Protection of Convoys and High Value Cargo Working in collaboration with our Iraqi partners we are able to assist in the transport and protection of high value cargos and wide loads. In the last three years Ardan has moved over $600 million USD of cargo without incident. Protecting Seismic and Construction Teams We are able to offer security protection services for field teams. Over the last three years we have protected the most seismic acquisitions and managed the security protection for the most pipeline construction crews in Iraq. Community Relations Advisors Ardan has a pool of expatriate linguists and local consultants that are experts in advising clients how to develop strong relationships and sensible community based programmes that enhance security and ensure project delivery.

7 Our Services Support Services The hub of our support services is our camp and operating base in the Erbil, Kurdistan. This is where we run our security operations and - alongside our local partner - provide support, logistics and infrastructure services. Import and Export Overland, air and sea freight clearance and associated logistics services supported by our mobile asset protection and movement control teams. Health and Safety Inspection and audit services in: health and safety; hygiene inspection; fire risk assessment and emergency response planning and co-ordination. This service is designed to ensure new entrants into the oil and gas market in Kurdistan operate in accordance with international HSE standards. Medical Our medical staff provide first line care in the field and from our independent medical centre. We can also provide medical assessment and review services for small projects or country-wide operations. Technical Security Through our international partnerships, we are able to source and project manage the implementation of high-tech cargo vehicle inspection systems. We can integrate the technology with existing security infrastructure to produce a cost-effective, reliable and efficient solution. Manpower Supply of technical personnel, operations personnel, warehouse & yardmen, riggers, H.D. & L.D drivers and other manpower requirements. We can recruit skilled labour locally or bring in international specialists from the UK, US and other western countries. Business Support Our administration team can assist with Visa services, Arabic translation, business licensing and miscellaneous office and business support services.
