1 ICD-10 Readiness Intergy FAQs 1. When should I upgrade to an ICD-10 ready version of Intergy? All customers are encouraged to upgrade to Intergy v9.00 immediately in order to prepare for the ICD-10 transition. 2. How do I request my upgrade to version 9.00? Intergy v9.00 is available now and can be requested through the Vitera Support Center at Simply log in and select the "Request an Upgrade" option under the Quick Links menu. After submitting your request, you will receive additional information regarding your upgrade. 3. Which version of Intergy supports ICD-10? Intergy v9.00 fully supports ICD-10 and is preloaded with the full ICD-10 code set from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services (CMS). 4. How does Intergy help me with the ICD-10 transition? Intergy v9.00 includes the following features and functionalities to assist you with your ICD-10 transition: ICD-10 Readiness Dashboard Complete ICD-10 code set from CMS ICD-10 Code Search Engine Changeover Date Management Tools for mapping Code validation in clinical and billing workflows

2 5. What if we choose not to upgrade to version 9.00? The ICD-10 Readiness Dashboard, enhanced code search and ICD-10 clinical workflow support are only available in Intergy v9.00. We strongly encourage customers to upgrade to v9.00 for full ICD-10 support. 6. Are there any costs associated with upgrading to version 9.00? Customers in good standing with their active support and maintenance contracts will receive the upgrade at no additional cost. However, there may be additional fees associated with hardware and Professional Services components. 7. Are there additional hardware requirements to upgrade to Intergy v9.00? Some customers may need to update their hardware in order to upgrade to Intergy v9.00. Once we receive your upgrade request, we will assess your system hardware readiness via the Remote Monitoring System (RMS) and let you know if your system meets the requirements. Hardware specifications are available in the Vitera Support Center content library under System Requirements. 8. Is there a way to upgrade without purchasing additional hardware? Yes, practices may sign up for Intergy v9.00 hosted to eliminate server and many other hardware needs. This hosted solution means that your software and data are stored on our secure, off-site server. Additional benefits of hosted include: Thousands of dollars in savings on server-related costs Reduced data security risks Eliminated upgrade and data backup burdens 9. We have a third-party interface. What do we need to do to ensure ICD-10 readiness? In addition to upgrading your system to Intergy v9.00, a review of your third-party interface is required. The supported HL7 interfaces have been updated to accept either ICD-9 or ICD-10 diagnosis codes; however, customers will need to verify the readiness of the third party entity. You may request an interface review by contacting your account representative at , option 1.

3 10. When can I start using ICD-10 codes in my system? Intergy v9.00 users may begin using ICD-10 codes immediately. Intergy v9.00 allows you to control when ICD-10 codes are used in your system. Once a user turns on the ICD-10 Diagnosis Codes Parameter, the ICD-10 tools are enabled. This allows your practice to add and import ICD- 10 codes and begin using them throughout the system on the date that you choose. 11. How do I manage the changeover date for my insurance plans, including those who may not be ready for ICD-10 on Oct. 1, 2014? Intergy v9.00 includes a utility to assist you with managing the ICD-10 changeover date for your plans. As part of the upgrade, all your existing insurance plans will default to a changeover date of Oct. 1, However, you have the option to change the date at the payer level, which gives you the flexibility you need to manage your unique payer mix. 12. How do I get the ICD-10 code set in my system, including future updates? Intergy v9.00 includes the complete 2014 ICD-10 code set from CMS. The diagnosis code import utility has been enhanced to allow your practice to import the full list, a partial list or only the ICD- 10 codes for existing ICD-9 codes. The import includes the diagnosis code, short description and long description. You can add additional ICD-10 codes from the master ICD-10 code file to the imported ICD-10 code maintenance file at any time. Future updates to the ICD-10 code set will be delivered as part of the regularly scheduled Intergy updates via Remote Monitoring System (RMS). 13. How will ICD-10 codes be used for dates of service on or after Oct. 1, 2014, while using ICD-9 codes for earlier dates of service? Intergy v9.00 assists users with selecting the right ICD code set in both billing and clinical workflows. The system will use the payer effective date and display warning messages when the incorrect code set is selected. 14. How long will the dual use of ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes be supported? Dual use of codes will be supported for as a long as the practice needs support for both code sets.

4 15. How do I search for specific codes now that I have ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes in my system? The code search engine in Intergy v9.00 has been enhanced, allowing you to simply enter a word or phrase to search for codes. The improved search engine will also search in both the short and long descriptions of the ICD-10 code, providing more search findings. Intergy v9.00 also includes a diagnosis code version toggle, which allows you to refine your search to ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes only - permitting you to search in the manner that makes sense to you. 16. How do I manage my ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes? Diagnosis Code Maintenance enables users to add, edit and deactivate codes as needed. In Intergy v9.00, favorite diagnoses lists will allow both ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes to be maintained on the same list. The favorite ICD-9 codes will be available based on the set ICD-10 Diagnosis Code Effective Date. The favorite ICD-10 codes will replace the ICD-9 codes after the effective date. In Intergy v9.00, Procedure Macros will also allow both ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes to be assigned to the same procedure. Prior to the set ICD-10 Diagnosis Code Effective Date, ICD-9 codes will be posted for those procedures. ICD-10 codes will replace the ICD-9 codes after the effective date. 17. Will Intergy v9.00 assist with mapping? Intergy v9.00 includes the General Equivalency Mapping (GEM) from CMS, which provides a mapping from an ICD-9 code to potential ICD-10 codes. Using GEM, Intergy v9.00 presents users with a short list of ICD-10 codes to select from. Using the reimbursement map, Intergy v9.00 enables practices to use ICD-10 codes in their system as they continue to send ICD-9 codes to outside entities such as insurance companies. This reimbursement map provides a mapping from ICD-10 to ICD-9 that should result in an equivalent reimbursement amount. If practices adopt ICD-10 before Oct. 1, 2014, they can enter ICD-10 codes and Intergy will automatically send the corresponding ICD-9 code. 18. What happens to the existing data in my system that contains ICD-9 codes once I transition to ICD-10?

5 The ICD-9 historical data will not be affected by the transition. Note that for active patient problems coded with ICD-9, Intergy v9.00 will prompt the user to convert the problem to problembased findings as necessary. 19. How do I manage the ICD-10 Diagnosis Code effective date in the system if I have multiple practices? The ICD-10 Readiness Dashboard in Intergy v9.00 allows you to manage the ICD-10 effective date for each practice on an individual basis. 20. Do we have to change all macros manually? Yes, macros will have to be manually modified to include ICD-10 codes. However, you will not need to enter new macros; existing macros may be edited to contain the appropriate ICD-10 codes. 21. How will the ICD-10 validation work for the RIS Study Work List? Practices will need to recreate their RIS Macros with ICD-10 codes. The external poster will allow you to post ICD-9 codes or ICD-10 codes using the same validation as charge posting. 22. What if the primary insurance is ready for ICD-10 but the secondary insurance is not? The ICD-10 Payer Effective Date Utility enables practices to designate readiness dates for individual carriers/plans that may not be ready on Oct 1, This tool allows users to easily manage the effective date at the carrier or plan level, sort and filter by carrier or plan, and multiselect plans. 23. Where is the ICD-10 Readiness Dashboard located? The ICD-10 Readiness Dashboard is located in System Administration. The dashboard provides a central location for the practice to complete their ICD-10 setup and monitor readiness. 24. How does an ICD-9 code map to ICD-10 when multiple ICD-10 codes are available? If the practice is in ICD-10 mode, the user can enter an ICD-9 code and Intergy will display a list of possible ICD-10 codes based on the General Equivalency Mapping (GEM). In cases where the user is unable to find an ICD-10 code, the new search window allows the user to search the entire ICD-10 code set and easily add the new code to the system.

6 25. Is there a way to incrementally incorporate using ICD-10 codes? For instance, can a provider use ICD-10 codes for 1-2 patients a day to minimize productivity bottlenecks? No. ICD-10 adoption is turned on at the Practice level, not the user level. While setup work can happen before the practice fully adopts ICD-10, once a practice adopts ICD-10 it is on for all users in the practice. 26. What customer support and training will you provide? We will provide product-specific training through user documentation, online training and ICD-10 toolkits. 27. What type of testing is currently available and what do I need to do to participate? Intergy v9.00 has been successfully tested with users and implemented in customer practices. Additionally, many ICD-10 experts recommend individual practices test ICD-10 claim submittals with their payers prior to the Oct. 1, 2014, transition date. End-to-end claims submission testing is still being defined within the industry across practices, vendors and payers. We are participating in the HIMSS/WEDI ICD-10 national pilot program and are closely monitoring early testing options. We have also begun testing with our trading partners and Vitera Transaction Services (VTS).
