4 Kleine Schritte Name: Renaming a Control-M/Server component. Functionality and Benefits: You can now rename a Control-M from the CCM using a friendly GUI and a few simple steps. 5 Kleine Schritte Control-M/Server downtime during the new day procedure is reduced. SYSTEM ordering works in the background before the new day procedure enters information into a set of temporary database tables. This performance improvement is enabled when the configuration parameter NEWDAY_MODE is set to a value of 1 or above (default). 5

6 Kleine Schritte Name: Exclude RBC (Rule Based Calendar) Functionality and Benefits You can now exclude dates from the schedule using the Exclude RBC feature. For example, specific dates, such as holidays, can be excluded from a schedule. In the Planning Domain, you can now easily define scheduling criteria when a job, sub folder or SMART folder should not be ordered (Excluded). This makes it simple and intuitive to set and manage both Include/Exclude RBC scheduling criteria from a single user interface point. 6

7 Kleine Schritte A new security mode has been added, in which the Control-M/Server will not check authorizations of requests coming from Control-M/EM. This way the user authorizations maintenance can be done in the Control-M/EM level only. Control-M command lines will be checked by the Control-M/Server authorizations. The mode can be set by the system parameter EM_BYPASS_CTMSEC. 7

8 Kleine Schritte Variables that are passed to the order action (whether it is via command line or in the user dialog in the user interface) can now be used in condition names and other job fields. These variables would be resolved when the jobs are ordered. 8

9 Kleine Schritte Control-M/Server now supports SSL certificate keys with length longer than 2048, 3072 and Control-M/Server now provides the ability to work with SSLv3 protocol between Control- M components when SSL is enabled. In order to set the protocol, add the following parameter: provider_options=sslprotocol=sslv3 in the SSL configuration. Control-M/Server now supports SSL ciphers and data encryption of algorithm with 256 bits like AES 256 bits in Control-M components Control-M/Server now supports JAVA 1.7_51 on Solaris, Linux and Windows. 9

10 Kleine Schritte Control-M/Server now provides ability to disable Control-M/Agent automatic discovery. This feature is enabled by setting the configuration parameter HOST_AUTODISCOVER to 'N' in the config.dat file 10

This will also allow you to integrate Control- M Self Service with your Mobile Device Management system. 16

18 Große Schritte / cm for sap 800 Temporary Variants Control-M for SAP now allows the use of temporary variant while running R3 jobs (requires XBP 3.0). A temporary Variant is a Variant that is created during job execution and is deleted from SAP once the job is cleared from SM37. Temporary Variant reduces the overhead in maintaining many copies of the same Variant. Control-M for SAP 800 offers users to choose between regular Variant and a temporary Variant. 18

19 Große Schritte / cm for sap 800 Interception and Event History profiles management Control-M for SAP now offers users that run SAP with XBP 3.0, with the option to manage their Interception and Event History profiles from Control-M Configuration Manager. Users can now create, delete and update profiles as well as setting a profile to be active. In previous version it was only possible to get a list of interception profiles and to set the active profile. This functionality is available only if the Control-M SAP connection profile and the SAP system are both set with XBP 3.0. In order to access profiles on SAP, run the program CRITERIA_MANAGER from transaction SE38 19

Users can click on the link to easily access the file (QM ). From the Results screen, users can send the zipped reports file via .
