1 Welcome to the New DemandBridge Q+A WITH DAVID RICH David Rich is a seasoned executive from the technology sector. He spent 28 years at Accenture, where he led the High Tech Industry, the CRM Service Line and Accenture Analytics globally. After retiring from Accenture in 2012, he became CEO at Silicon Valleybased Revolution Analytics, which Microsoft acquired in Today, he s chairman and CEO of DemandBridge, where he aims to build a mini Accenture for the PSDA market. 5 MAIN THINGS TO KNOW 1. While offering the ability to purchase/resale modules, as standalone offerings to clients What s your vision for DemandBridge Reimagined? For years, the industry has known DemandBridge for technology that connects a distributor s accounting, operations and inventory systems, as well as an e-commerce portal for on-demand marketing, promotion and print. That technology is used by 1.2 million people, but we sensed an opportunity to help our clients succeed in new ways. Marketing service providers who want to grow their businesses crave technology that s innovative and customizable, developed and updated by true software experts who can take their business to new heights. To that end, DemandBridge is changing in both the short term and the long term. We re putting an impressive facelift on our technology, including a move to the Microsoft Azure cloud. This will give clients a subscription model and more freedom to deploy the tools, applications and integrations they need. That lift and shift is taking place now. (For more details, flip to the next two pages.) With those advancements in mind, who s the ideal client for DemandBridge? The answer is more about capabilities and goals, and less about size. Distributors who rely on our technology for their print and promo business still can, and they ll notice immediate benefits like improved reporting. Meanwhile, our modular approach will help brands grow into our solution as their customer needs expand. Companies that already target C-level marketing leaders will be able to tack on impressive tools for things like customer segmentation analytics, marketing campaign management and digital content management. I liken this to adding new charms to a charm bracelet. Our new offering will evolve into a complete, endto-end, omni-channel marketing Platform-asa-Service. Omni-channel is a buzzword, but for your team, it seems more like a business strategy. It s our strategy because it s the marketer s reality. More touch points digital, print, , mobile, social, CRM etc. mean more opportunities for marketers to connect with customers. Keeping interactions consistent across multiple channels, creating a seamless experience for customers, and quickly determining how to optimize spend need to be an alwayson engine. By supplying that engine, DemandBridge can help clients drive more business. Can you expand upon the charm bracelet concept, as well as integration? We want our solution to be extremely customizable. If there s a third-party tool we can snap onto the bracelet, we ll do it. We already have several agreements in place. So if someone needs a specific kind of campaign management tool, or wants to tap into a different sourcing platform than ours, we can remain a single-source, flexible software partner. I tend to think about integration first, hence the bracelet analogy. We want to give customers the ability to purchase our modules in totality or as standalone offerings that can also be easily integrated to other e-commerce platforms, back-end ERP systems, procurement platforms and customer intranets.
