3 Upgrading Information: Repository If you are upgrading from an Insight version prior to v9.0.0, you will need to upgrade to the latest v upgrade build prior to upgrading to this current release. If you are upgrading from any version of Insight, please note that Insight SP3 requires a new license key. You will need to obtain a new License Key from Customer Services. Once this is received, please perform a replace in order to retain your License Assignments. Prior to upgrading, please make sure your Insight Object Repository is backed up (using your current Administration Application). This backup is essential for all types of installs, whether you are installing this version in parallel with an existing Insight version or, alternatively, as a new stand alone installation. Any upgrade to SP3 requires a new repository to be created. Insight and beyond requires Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0. A backup of your current Insight repository is needed to restore into the new Insight repository for SP3. For more information on upgrading, please contact Customer Services. 4 Upgrading Information: Budgeting For clients with budgeting repositories, it is required to take a backup of the budgeting library/database/schema prior to upgrading. If you are upgrading from an Insight version prior to , Insight requires a new budgeting database to be created. Insight (as did ) now requires Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0. For more information on upgrading your budgeting database, please contact Customer Services. Note: Budgeting Forms, Reconciler & Designer Express reports and Standard Templates created using Designer Express are currently only supported on SQL Server, Oracle or AS/400 DB2 Databases. 5 In addition to the list below, SP3 also includes all fixes up to and including SP2. Budgeting Updates Insight Ledgers used within Time Series are now available for input in Budget Entry. Unit ledger numbers are uploaded correctly and reflecting properly in the F0902Z1 after performing JDE upload from within Insight. Calculations totaling Company amounts are properly no longer displaying as available for budget input. The reconnection manager can now successfully reconnect if connection to database has been lost and open a budget form or report without error. No longer receive an error when click on Enter Budget mode and user does not have access to all companies defined in the scope. Designer Express Updates In Designer Express reports, calculations created using columns from multiple tables are now properly displaying their totals on the report. Oracle database & Designer Express defined padding that is not the same now returns the correct results on the report for the columns joined. General Updates Multi-level hierarchies now roll up correctly and display correct totals. Able to export a report pack without any errors as well as toggle between reports and the Insight application successfully. Subtotals turned off for one column does not remove subtotals for all columns when aging categories are present in the report. If custom calculations are removed from a report, you no longer receive an error when you re-open and run the report. Calculation defined using a decimal operator (e.g. (GA AMT) * 1,5) now correctly displays the results when using Italian regional settings. When using a CONCAT function within a calculation for a numeric column larger than 7 characters, you will need to use "To Integer" function in the CONCAT calculation for your data to display properly. o (e.g. Catstr(Catstr(ToChar(ToInteger(Column(ID COL F0018_TDDOCO))), String(/)),Column(ID_ORDERTYPE_CODE)) Changes can be made appropriately now in the Chart Series Option Tab and are properly reflected in the chart. Insight application won't error any more when exiting using ClickOnce deployment. The Save As Dialog now properly shows the defined default location for the reports being exported to excel or PDF. 6 The year in the Year Filter no longer changes when the user toggles between the normal view and console preview mode. When the user selects to display Data & Chart they are now properly displayed each time the report is run. Upgraded reports that have 'year' as a dimension in the Hierarchy don't error when they are imported and used in newer versions of Insight. Module Updates GL: YTD periods now pass to target Balances inquiry (passing to Transaction inquiry is not currently supported) when YTD Period is set to a different value from the source report, but the same value as the source is available in the list of values available. Scheduler Updates Scheduler service for 64-bit version of Insight now starts and runs properly. Page 6 of 7
