2 Introduction ECCO s post-tensioning products have been used extensively in Canada and the USA. From a few small knockouts to water tanks, highrise buildings, reactors and bridges, ECCO s commitment to quality and service is unparalleled in the industry. Where custom product is required, ECCO can adapt to meet the requirements. From metal spinning to injection molded plastic, ECCO has access to many different manufacturing methods. Our packing provides for quick unloading by either forklift or crane and efficient storage at the project site or in your yard. Duct is stocked at our manufacturing plants in 20 ft. lengths, but can be produced in any length desired. Only transportation limitations affect the length at which duct can be made. 3 Technical Information Spiral Formed Round Duct for Bonded Tendon Round duct is spirally wound from a galvanized steel strip. The edges of this strip are joined in the forming process by a four-ply lock seam that produces a semi-rigid, grout tight duct. The four-ply lock seam also provides a reinforcing rib that winds around the outside of the duct. The duct is produced continuously and can be cut to desired lengths. Corrugations are formed in the duct between the seams to transfer bond stresses to the surrounding concrete and provide excellent crush resistance. Corrugations also act as a thread for couplers, which are screwed over the duct to connect lengths together. Couplers are produced continuously and can be cut to desired lengths. Compressed Oval Duct Certain criteria may require the duct to be compressed. Compressed duct is available by request. Compressed duct is achieved by first producing round duct and then mechanically pressing the duct to a specific depth. Rectangular Duct (Special Order) Rectangular duct is continuously formed from a galvanized steel strip with a longitudinal four-ply lock seam. Sleeve type couplers are available to connect lengths of duct together. Shipping Information Duct is packaged in crates for unloading by forklift or crane and allows for easy storage by stacking crates on top of each other. Couplers are cartoned. Many different configurations can be produced, with or without grout holes. Standard material is galvanized steel (other materials available upon request). Metal Strand Caps (Bullets) Strand caps are manufactured from galvanized steel and are available in 0.5" and 0.6". The advantage of metal over plastic is that the metal cap can be used repeatedly. Anchorage Caps (Grout Caps) Anchorage caps are manufactured to individual specifications and are available in metal or plastic. Metal caps are spun, making them seamless. Caps can be produced in many different configurations, with or without grout holes. Rebar Chairs Rebar chairs are manufactured from high density plastic and are available in different sizes and styles.
