1 BTM BT2K 600 Bitumento BT2K 600 is a solvent-free, two-component, elastic, water-based, fiber reinforced, rubber and cement based bitumen waterproofing material. Areas of Use As water and moisture tight material in underground applications such as foundation, base wall and basement, Protection and isolation of structures and structural elements which are exposed to seepage water and continuous or temporary water pressure, As water proofing material in dry or slightly moist details such as terrace, kitchen, bathroom, etc., Isolation of mineral surfaces such as concrete, stone, brick, briquette, plaster, grout, etc., Repair of old isolations such as bituminous membrane, asphalt, etc., Fastening of heat insulation boards, Isolation application with resistance to higher pressure water, together with isolation net, isolation fabric, etc. Advantages High elasticity and capability of bridging cracks.

2 Not affected by microorganisms and aggressive underground waters. Forms a flexible, covering and continuous asphalt layer on horizontal and vertical surfaces, dry and slightly moist surfaces. No damage to environment as it is water based. Easy to use indoors. No swelling and flaking by time due to very good adherence. The steel and wooden dowels should be removed from the surface. Wide cracks and gaps should be filled with Elastopast or Elastomast. The corners and edges should be rounded by at least 4 cm in

3 diameter. Bitümento BT2K 600 should be applied on dry concrete. Application Mixing : Mixing ratio : 3 parts by weight liquid component 1 parts by weight powder component The powder component should be added in the liquid component slowly, and mixed in a mixer with rpm for 3-5 minutes until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained. The mixed material should be consumed up within 1-2 hours. Priming : Apply ready-mixed Bitumento BT2K 600, diluted with 1:5 with water, or the bitumen emulsion BTR200, diluted 1:2 with water or liquid component of BT2K 600 diluted 1:10 with water, to the substrate. The material should be applied on the surfaces by means of a brush without allowing accumulation of material. The primer should be allowed for drying, and then the main application should be done. Application of the coating: After the primer dried, it is applied in a thickness of 2-5 mm by means of brush, trowel or appropriate spray equipment. It may be applied in higher quantities depending on the absorption, porosity of the surface and the water pressure to which the waterproof layer will be exposed. In case of double-layer application, the first layer should be allowed for curing and then the second layer should be applied. It is recommended to use with gr/m² fiberglass or net to improve mechanical properties in large areas and horizontal? vertical joints and to bridge the cracks. The mixture prepared should be consumed up within 1-2 hours depending on the weather temperature. The application tools should be cleaned with water immediately after application. The tools which have not been cleaned timely, may be cleaned with thinner later. Consumption

Packaging The liquid and powder components in 32 kg plastic bins (Liquid; 24 kg., Powder; 8 kg.) Storage Conditions and Shelf Life It should be stored in a dry location, and protected against sun and frost. The product freezes at temperatures below 0 o C. The shelf life is 12 months in unopened original packaging and under proper storage conditions. Considerations It should not be applied at temperatures below +5 C or in cases where the temperature is expected to drop below +5 C within 24 hours following application. The mixture should be prepared only with the liquid and powder components of the product. No foreign substance should be added. It should not be applied on wet and frozen surfaces. The application should not be made on surfaces at temperatures below +5 C?den or above +30 C.

5 The application should be protected against dew, frost, etc. until it fully dries. The coating should be applied on those surfaces of the structure and structural elements which are in contact with water. In foundation isolation applications, the waterproofing layer should be protected against mechanical damage by heat insulation boards, drain sheets or bricks before filling. The soil filling should be applied at least 3 days after waterproof application. Cautions and Recommendations The powder should not be inhaled as it is cement based. Gloves and protective goggles should be worn. In case of eye or skin contact, it should be washed with abundant amount of water and soap, and doctor should be consulted in case of eye contact. The empty packages should not be used for storage of drinking water or foodstuff. The tools should be cleaned with water after application.
