Bundles to be loaded to ensure stability and security during transport. Details weight and customer contract number shall be displayed upon each bundle. The bundles shall have suitable lifting points that will afford safe f loading whilst minimising to working at height. The transport contractor shall ensure that the loads are transported from the manufacturing unit to the construction site in accordance with the requirements the Road Traffic Act 1998 and other associated UK and EU legislation. Prior to any lifting operation ensure lifting plan is agreed and appointed person is in place. Ensure f loading equipment is fit for purpose and ground conditions are suitable for the task. On site method statement and risk assessments shall be completed for the lift. Hierarchy control measures as follows: Use telehandlers, use overhead tower or mobile crane, on site gantry or mobile steps to access slinging points, on site unloading bay, fall arrest system built into trailer, air bags around trailer, use footed ladders with 3 point contact to access lift points. Collective control measures as detailed above. Components to be stored on level ground away from water to avoid damage. Any damage can seriously affect the structural integrity the building and should be reported to Kingspan for a technical assessment to be carried out. Ensure steel is stored on bearers and not sat directly on the floor. Product to be stacked in a safe manner and secured to prevent toppling. The method storage should take into account safe access to lifting points to avoid additional control measures. Wear appropriate PPE - SFS stud and track will always have sharp edges and is strong on impact, so suitable gloves must be worn and care taken when moving product around. Mark out areas which will require cordoning f and areas where walls are to be installed. Set up local exclusion zones to prevent unauthorised access where necessary. Ensure slab is free from obstruction and all unwanted materials have been removed from installation area. Only Kingspan SFS approved installers to carry out installation - arrange training if required. Erect walls to Kingspan drawings and installation/technical manuals ensuring that correct specification is followed. Take account project related risks highlighted on drawings. Use MEWPS where required, ensure stability ground and protect MEWP from coming into contact with other plant and equipment. Only competent persons to operate MEWPS. Provide edge protection or fall arrest on slab to eliminate risk from falling at height. Use approved tools and appliances and PAT testing where applicable. Support SFS in final position using temporary bracing until fixing is complete. Observe good manual handling techniques and use kinetic lifting. Wear appropriate PPE (refer to installation manual) For oversail systems. Consider primary means access (MEWP, scaffold, local logistics etc.), install brackets first and consider fixing temporary support zed bar to stud web to temporarily seat studs onto brackets. Ensure that studs are adequately fixed in temporary state - consider temporary tek fixing to brackets before final bolting. Note that any temporary teks need to be removed if they impede movement at slotted cleats. IC 1 10 Installation steel to form SFS openings,,,,,, 2 Complete on site risk assessment. Only Kingspan SFS approved installers to carry out installation - arrange training if required. Erect openings to Kingspan drawings and installation/technical manuals ensuring that correct specification is followed. IC Take account project related risks highlighted on drawings. 1 Ensure all sections installed are full length unless design specifically states otherwise. All substances used in the construction shall be accompanied by COSHH assessments and communicated to the installation team and other contractors on site. Details any hazardous substances used in the construction shall be included in the Health and Safety File IC / MC / and issued to the Client accordingly. CDMC Follow control measures detailed in COSHH assessments for products such as glues, sealants, cement based materials and fire pro boarding. Wear appropriate PPE. Use following hierarchy control systems: Use edge protection supplemented by products such as Trad deck, oxford safety landing system, bean bags, safety net and fall arrest system should be considered. Refer to Health and Safety in Ro Work (HSG 33 for further guidance). All fall prevention and arrest systems to be install by fully trained competent persons.
