1 Since 1992 Barrel Enterprises, located in Belleisle, New Brunswick Canada has manufactured unique cedar saunas and hot tubs. In 2013 the company developed a campground yurt and a proprietary insulated log home that can be fully customized to a buyer s specifications. Our insulated log yurt structures provide exceptional insulation values of R27 (walls), R40 (floors) and R60 (ceiling). Our first insulated log house is has been completed at Mactaquac, New Brunswick. The Mactaquac yurt (above) is a 30-foot diameter, two-bedroom, one bathroom, living room, kitchen, second floor loft and 2 doors design. The first floor is 65.6m² (706ft²) and a second floor loft adds 32.5m² (350ft²) of living space. The metal roof has a rubberized paint that can be any color. The white roof for this yurt was the customer s choice. This model also has a unique center dome skylight that can be opened. This is an example of a first floor plan. This is an example of a second floor loft. It could also be a full second floor with bedrooms and a bathroom.

2 The interior walls are wood of the buyer s choosing. The Mactaquac house has a cedar interior with crank out windows. It has in-floor heating. A roof dome skylight was installed in this house. It that can be opened to allow additional air exchange. The ceiling has a R-60 insulating rating. The yurt is mounted on screw pilings drilled into the bedrock for a solid foundation. The floor has a R-40 insulation rating.

3 Additional information: Yurts are customized to the customer s requirements (i.e., building diameter, one/two story, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, windows, doors, loft, skylight, layout etc.) Our yurts houses are manufactured with Barrel Enterprises proprietary insulated logs. The yurt home has a R-27 insulation rating in the walls, a R-40 insulation rating in the floor and R-60 rating in the ceiling... a higher insulating rating than the current building code. A 30-foot diameter one-story yurt provides about 706 square feet of floor space per floor. The roof is metal, with a rubberized, color coating of the customer s choice. The cedar exterior can sealed with a urethane coating to leave it natural or it can be painted. Interior walls are finished wood of the clients choosing. Heating is in-floor heating. All yurts are manufactured at Barrel Enterprises in Belleisle Creek, New Brunswick. They are fully constructed, then disassembled, shipped and set up at the customer site. Senior s/elder s Housing Concept We have also been asked to design a yurt pod-cluster for a clinic and for an elder care complex. The centre pod would be a common dining/office/meeting area with smaller individual housing pods connected to the centre pod via indoor, wheelchair accessible walkways. This centre pod design could include a dome skylight that can be opened for air circulation and to allow natural light into the building. 4 For your tourists, we also build our bubble saunas. These may be ideal for winter tourists to enjoy a relaxing sauna while viewing the Northern Lights. Campground yurts Barrel Enterprises also offers a campground yurt with 2X6 walls. Gazebo Hot Tubs We also build unique hot tubs. Our proprietary Tubzebo is an integrated hot tub and gazebo with 6 acrylic bubble roof. The gazebo is actually an integral part of the hot tub. Optional mosquito screens or wind, weather and privacy curtains (in a variety of colors) easily slide around the outside of the tub on curved rails, allowing you to enjoy the hot tub and the view all year.
