8 QUALITY Fire protection The specific qualities of Eurocoustic stone wool ensure the best passive protection against fire. In addition to preventing flames from spreading Eurocoustic stone wool does not feed fire and releases very little smoke. Eurocoustic products achieve a Group 1 classification according to AS/NZS 3837:1998, Method of test for heat and smoke release rates for materials and products using an oxygen consumption calorimeter. Humidity Stone wool, produced by Eurocoustic, is non hydrophilic. Reports Eurocoustic ceiling tiles are resistant to humidity and suitable for use in the most severe atmospheres without risk of sagging. Ensuring 100% rigidity and stability guaranteed. Thermal comfort Eurocoustic is an excellent thermal insulator. Due to the broad range of thicknesses, Eurocoustic ceiling tiles improve interior thermal comfort. 9 MATERIAL SAFETY Whatever the environment, Eurocoustic ceiling tiles do not contain any elements favourable to microbial development. The White Satin Range (Boreal finish) is ideal for buildings that require a higher level of air quality or frequent maintenance. The visible decorative side does not retain dust and facilitates cleaning with a wet sponge using an ordinary detergent (ph < 10). Edges are closed and the reverse side is lined with a glass veil, which improves the air quality. The stone wool ceiling tiles are made with fibres that do not contain any materials classified as harmful to humans. ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY Eurocoustic stone wool is manufactured from natural and widespread raw materials including recycled products. In addition the fitting and cut waste is also recycled in the production process. Eurocoustic ceiling tiles contribute to the safety and comfort of the building occupants. It also reduces the sound nuisances, energy consumptions and emissions of greenhouse gases. The energy saved with the use of Eurocoustic ceiling tiles exceeds the energy required in manufacturing.
