1 Torch on ccessories Technical Data Sheet Prefabricated corners made of polimeric bituminous membrane The bituminous prefabricated corners are made by hot folding of a unique piece of bituminous membrane with composite reinforcement. The main advantage is the total melting to the waterproofing sheet allowing flexibility during installation, which will give a total waterproofing guarantee on the most risky points. Torch on ituminous Fillet (bond breaker) Like with the bituminous corner profiles, the torch on bituminous fillet (bond breaker) is obtained via the hot bending of a bituminous membrane with composite reinforcement. It has a length of 1100mm. Internal ituminous Corner LIMITTIONS: not to be used with Index Proteaduo. 3 Torch on ccessories One Way Vent - Torch on one way vent - Two piece torch on one way vent - designed for use with insulation panels The One Way Vent is a moisture relief device consisting of a two-piece polyethylene vent that allows moisture vapour to escape out of the roof deck system without allowing moisture to enter through the vent. Uses Parchem Pressure Seal Flashing is used to seal and flash the edge of Index torch applied bituminous membrane range of products and Emer-Proof DPE and D self-adhesive sheet membranes. 5 Torch on ccessories elasto-ring Plastic support ring for concrete pavers with leveling adjustment Uses elasto-ring is designed to be easily divided into fractions: For the row of slabs adjacent to the surrounding wall, the half ring is used For the slabs at the angle, the fourth ring is used To set the three slabs on an external angle, the three quartes ring is used The leveling disk is a elasto-ring accessory that is applied Iike a wedge, in order to stabilise the slabs that are not sufficiently flat, or when the surface is irregular. Generally it is used in quarters and put between the elastoring and the corner of the unstable slab. In terraces that are not exactly multiples of the slab measurements, the row touching the surrounding wall must be cut, or, as in the case of smaller measurements, the free space between the floor and the projecting part can be fllled with pebbles. The drainholes are installed at the waterproofing blanket level and furnished with a flat leaf filter. The joints between the slabs are not to be filled. They should be left free to promote rapid water drainage. For flooring to be installed over heat insulation, the insulatlng material should have a compressive strength superior to 2 kg/cm². With elasto-ring, the pavement does not touch the waterproofing blanket, but is separated from it by a hollow space; in this way, the pavement can expand and contract without damaging the water-tight blanket. elasto-ring is simply dry set onto the waterproofing. To install the square paving slabs on the supporting elastorings, it is enough to set the slabs at the four angles of the ring and push them against the spacer; once the first row is measured and set, the successive ones follow as a consequence. elasto-ring can be set on multilayer bituminous waterproofing, on bituminous sheathing waterproofing or on synthetic sheet waterproofing. The floor is completely precast. It is dry set; mortar is not needed. It can be installed in any season. Specialised workmen are not needed. nd it is without joints in that they are already included in the storing mounting. The slabs are only resting in place, and in case of repairs to the waterproofing blanket, it is not necessary to damage the floor; it is sufficient to raise a few of the square slabs to carry out the maintenance. Puddles can no longer form since rainwater runs directly to the drains between the open joints and the square slabs. During the day the paving, heated by the sun, expands; at night, when the sun s heat ceases, the paving cools and therefore contracts. This alternating movement, which is concentrated along the expansion joints of the floor, is transmitted then to the underlying waterproofing blanket, damaging it through fatigue. To eliminate this problem it is necessary to isolate the floor the floor from the waterproofing underneath. Index has resolved this problem with elasto-ring, a plastic mounting for square paving slabs in precast concrete. Page 5
