Time Certain: For Possible Action: Approve modification of Memorandum of Understanding between Lyon County Sheriff and Lyon County School District to provide funding for an additional deputy sheriff, wage and benefit funding to be paid by the Lyon County School District 1. Public participation: It is anticipated that public participation will be held at this time, though it may be returned to at any time during the agenda. ZONE CHANGE (for possible action) Request to change the zoning on an approximately 3.51 total acre parcel, from RR-3T (Rural Residential - 5 acre minimum w/ trailer overlay) to C-1 (Limited Commercial); located at 3275 Bowers Avenue, Silver Springs (APN ) PLZ The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the request for a Zone Change from RR-3T (Third Rural Residential 5 acre minimum with Trailer Overlay) to C-2 (General Commercial) on an approximately 3.51 total acre parcel based on the recommended findings stated in the staff report. 25. COMSTOCK RV & BOAT STORAGE SUP / V & T MANAGEMENT - SPECIAL USE PERMIT (for possible action) Request to operate an outdoor, Recreational Vehicle and Boat storage yard to include a mobile home for a watchman s quarters, on an approximately gross acre parcel; located at 83 Carry Way, Mound House, NV (APN ) PLZ The Planning Commission unanimously voted to recommend approval of the request for a Special Use Permit to operate an outdoor, Recreational Vehicle and Boat storage yard to include a mobile home for a watchman s quarters, based on the recommended findings, and subject to the 20 conditions stated in the staff report. **END OF PLANNING APPLICATIONS ** REGULAR AGENDA (Action will be taken on all items unless otherwise noted) 26. For Possible Action: Propose an ordinance amending Lyon County Code Title 10, Chapter 18 Wireless Communications Facilities, Section 03, Part F to be amended to: All military, Federal, State, and local government communication facilities as a matter of land use throughout the unincorporated areas of Lyon County and other matters related thereto 27. For Possible Action: Propose ordinance that prohibits consuming or possessing marijuana in a vehicle on a highway 28. For Possible Action: Accept the Lyon County Utilities Water Facilities Plan Update that was prepared by Farr West Engineering 4
5 Lyon County Board of Commissioners May 4, For Possible Action Approve change to Silver Springs Airport Crack Sealing project of $20,400, with $19,125 coming from the FAA grant and authorizing $1,275 in matching funds to be paid by the County from the Capital Improvement Funds 30. For Possible Action: To approve a resolution to direct the County Manager to prepare a draft ordinance to prohibit the commercial cultivation, manufacturing and sales of recreational marijuana to be presented to the Board of Commissioners on or before the first Board meeting in July 2017(Requested by Commissioner Alt) RECESS TO CONVENE AS CENTRAL LYON COUNTY VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT BOARD 31. For Possible Action: Accept bid from Frey Spray LLC for aerial spraying of mosquito/black flies and approve contract in an amount not to exceed $25,000 per year for three years 33.
