2 Every Government generally consists of Three organs. Such organs are Legislature, Executive and Judiciary.
3 What is parliament? What is Parliament? Parliament -- A French word parlement which means speaking, and Latin word parliamentum means talking. It has come to mean meeting for discussion. India has borrowed this organization from England
4 Different names of Parliament? Sansad in India, Diet in Japan, Congress in US, Knesset in Israel.

26 Rajya Sabha (Council of States) The Upper house of the Union PARLIAMENT is known as the Council of States or RAJYASABHA. The RAJYASABHA consists of 250 members, out of that 12 members are nominated by the President from among persons who have distinguished themselves in the field of Arts, Science, Literature, Social Science
