2 DECENTRALIZED buffer storage systems of for a more efficient heat use To operate a local heating supply economically, buffer storages are of central importance. But on the market there were no systems, which have been tailored especially for the operation of local and district heating networks. has developed buffer storage systems, which meet these specific requirements and offer significant saving potentials. Most of the local heating networks have a central buffer storage installed in the plant room. Particularly in summer this could lead to enormous heat losses, as the operating temperature has to be kept up, in order to be able to provide domestic hot water for each customer if necessary. Therefore the heat loss is up to 0% during the summer season. However, if decentralized buffer storages are installed at each house, the network can be switched off temporarily. For the domestic hot water heating the decentralized buffer storages have to be loaded only once a day, or depending on the dimensioning only after several days. In this way the heat loss in the network can be reduced by up to 0% - at a constant output and a same level of comfort! 3 These buffer storage systems have been developed especially for the decentralized solution. Customers can choose from a range of five types, which have been optimized for different scopes of application and requirements with or without buffer charging pump or high performance heat exchanger.
