2 2008 Campus Master Plan Sustainability Goals As a good steward of the environment, it is important to the College that all existing facilities and new facilities at all of their locations be designed to and operate in accordance with best practices as they relate to sustainable design. As a general guideline, the College will utilize LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) design criteria as established by the U.S. Green Building Council to evaluate any new construction or renovation work that it proposes. This is not to say that all construction projects will become LEED certified, but it is important that the College evaluate the feasibility of incorporating certain green design strategies in terms of cost, payback, and overall environmental impact as projects are being proposed.
