1 Rank Rank designs and assembles microgeneration and microcogeneration, combined heat and power (micro-chp), equipments for energy recovery from low grade heat sources. So, Rank can generate electric power up to kwe using temperatures from 80ºC. Furthermore Rank systems also can generate electric and thermal power at the same time, until 400 kwt of thermal power (in the form of hot water up to 85ºC). All our products are made and tested at the Rank facilities in Spain. Rank Technology. 3 Rank applications T>80ºC Waste heat from engine cooling system We can replace the engine cooling system of a cogeneration unit with a Rank equipment, which produces electric power by taking the waste heat from the engine cylinders, allowing to increase the equivalent electrical efficiency of the unit. Refrigeration compressors discharge heat Rank equipment is adapted to use the heat from the discharge of refrigeration compressors to generate electricity and at the same time optimize the coefficient of performance of the facility in which it is installed. Compressed air equipment waste heat Rank equipment can be used to recover heat from air compression and generate electricity, besides reducing the power consumption of the unit and improving its energy efficiency.

4 Thermosolar without concentrators Rank equipment can be activated with flat plate or evacuated-tubesolar collectors for electric power generation in dedicated installations or helping to improve installation s payback when heat is not used. Geothermal Rank equipment has a wide range application at the geothermal uses. Rank can use heat from a geothermal source (>80ºC) to generate electric power.

5 Rank applications T>140ºC Waste Heat from industrial process Rank equipment can recover waste heat from industrial or process waste gases in order to generate electrical or electric and thermal power from temperatures as low as 140ºC. Waste gases from boilers Rank equipment are designed to recover waste heat from combustion process (waste-gas heat losses from all fuel-fired units) in order to produce electricity or electricity and heat. Biogas plant Rank equipment are designed to obtain profit from waste heat from biogas engines to produce electricity and heat in the parameters requested by the digester, improving plant efficiency.

6 Exhaust gases from cogeneration units Rank equipment is designed not only to recover heat from cogeneration cooling system but also recover thermal waste from exhaust gases to produce electricity and heat. Concentrated solar thermal power Rank equipment can be activated with medium temperature solar collectors without concentration or with concentration systems for electric power generation dedicated facilities and usable thermal power. Pool Heating System Pool heating system Pool heating can be used as sink for Rank equipment dissipation in all its forms of micro-chp (HT-C)

7 Rank Isolated Facilities Isolated Biomass In Isolated Biomass applications a dedicated biomass boiler is used to generate electricity and useful heat (Heating / Hot Water / Cooling) based on the requirements needed. Isolated Thermosolar These micro-cogeneration equipments can be activated with medium temperature solar collectors without concentration or with concentration systems to generate electricity and useful heat (Heating / Hot Water / Cooling) based on needs. Biomas + Thermosolar isolated Rank systems can recover solar energy (with the support of a biomass boiler in no solar energy conditions) to generate electricity and useful heat (Heating / Hot Water / Cooling) based on the needs.

8 Rank LT equipments Rank LT microgeneration equipments are designed to produce electricity using heat sources from 80ºC, the electricity generated can be used for self consumption or to sell it to the grid in a power range from 1 kwe to 50 kwe. Rank LT equipments can generate electricity using the waste heat captured from any industrial or natural source (heat engine cooling, exhaust gases, process waste heat, solar thermal...) that can produce activation temperatures above 80 C. Typical payback periods for these systems are from 2 to 5 years. Rank LT equipments as well as being an economical profit, offers an environmental benefit in reducing the carbon footprint of the facility / process where equipment is installed, promoting energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.

9 Rank HT equipments Rank HT microgeneration equipments are designed to produce electricity using heat sources from 140ºC. The electricity generated can be used for self consumption or to sell it to the grid in a power range from 1 kwe to 100 kwe. Rank LT equipments can generate electrical energy from the capture of waste heat from any industrial or natural source (heat engine cooling, exhaust gases, process waste heat, solar thermal...) that can produce activation temperatures above 140 C Typical payback periods for these equipments are from 2 to 5 years. Rank HT equipments as well as being an economical profit, offers an environmental benefit in reducing the carbon footprint of the facility / process where equipment is installed, promoting energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.

10 Rank HT-C equipments Rank HT-C are designed to produce electricity using natural/waste heat sources from 140ºC, to obtain electricity or electricity and heat (hot water up to 85ºC for heating systems, pool, domestic uses, industrial process or cooling systems with absorption systems). Rank HT-C equipments are able to exploit almost all the heat captured by transforming the waste heat in a useful heat in the desired conditions of use, and, at the same time, generate electricity for self consumption or sale it to the grid. This equipment Rank HT-C achieves very low return periods with high profit and with a great environmental benefit associated.
