The Brill quality management system has been certified since 2004, since which time we have been meeting the requirements of DIN EN ISO As a member of the Gütegemeinschaft Substrate für Pflanzen e.v. (Quality Assurance Association Growing Media for Plant Cultivation) we have been subject to regular rigorous external quality controls since The certification marks of CAS, France and BPF, Belgium also provide a guarantee of Brill s quality substrates. Our main target is to supply safe products for professional horticulture of a consistently high quality, offering a reliable and flexible delivery service as and when they are needed. Particularly during the season this demands the utmost of our employees, so all of the employees in the company pull in the same direction. Brill substrates should be stored in a cool place and protected from the weather. Brill substrates are high in organic matter, so may contain saprophytic micro-organisms. The existence of saprophytic organisms and the consequences thereof, e.g. fungal growth, are not considered a product defect. The same applies to saprophytic nematodes which may occur in small numbers. Brill professional substrates are supplied in loose bulk loads on a walking-floor or tipper truck, semi trailer, or truck with trailer. The minimum delivery quantity is 20 m 3 ; we can also supply part or mixed loads. Brill s standard packaging is the 70 l bag. Corresponding packaging is used depending on the substrate group; the Typical red packaging for potting substrates and the Typical black packaging for propagation substrates. All PRO substrates are supplied in green PRO packaging, whilst brown BIO packaging is used for BIO substrates. Customer specific special mixes are packaged in Exclusive bags. Depending on the type of substrate, product can be supplied with 36, 39 or even 42 bags per pallet. We can also supply Brill substrates compacted in a Brill Maxi Block or loose in bulk in a Brill Big Bag. They can also be supplied as Big Bales with volumes of 4.5 m 3, 5.0 m 3 and 5.8 m 3 per palette, depending on the substrate.
