Criteria: The dictionary can be done by hand or on the computer. Be creative with how you present it! Each term above must: - Be Defined - Have 2 Examples/Applications/Facts minimum - Have 1 Drawing/Picture minimum Sample: AIR Air is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, gaseous mixture, mainly nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (21%) with lesser amounts of argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, neon, helium, and other gases. Air is varying amounts of moisture and particulate matter, enveloping the earth; the atmosphere. - Air supplies us with oxygen which is essential for our bodies to live. - As you move up in altitude through the atmosphere, the concentration of air molecules decreases. The air is thinner higher in the atmosphere because there is low pressure the higher you go up. - There is a special layer of air molecules high in the stratosphere layer of Earth s atmosphere, called the ozone layer. Ozone molecules help block some of the Sun s strongest rays. - Moving air (wind) is kinetic energy and it can be used to make electricity with a wind turbine and lift kite. - Warmer air rises in cooler air so by heating air you can lift a hot air balloon in the air.

Our population growth is the highest among the industrialized regions. Africa I am the African ambassador, representing 57 countries. One out of eight people in the world live in my region. Our population growth rate is the highest in the world and women average nearly six children each. Africa has the lowest literacy rate in the world; less than 50% of women can read and write. Latin America I am the Latin American ambassador, representing the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. Nine percent of the world's population resides in our area. Our region has two of the five largest cities in the world, São Paulo and Mexico City. Europe I am the European ambassador, representing 47 countries including Russia. Europe contains 12% of the world's people and currently has the lowest birth rate of any region in world history. Ours is the only region that has a higher death rate than birth rate. Asia I am the ambassador for Asia except for the population giant China, which has its own representative. Asia is, by far, the most populous region, with over one third of the world's people. Our diverse region includes one of the world's poorest countries, Bangladesh, and one of the richest, Japan. China I am the ambassador from China, the country with the largest population in the world. One out of five people in the world is Chinese. Despite government legislation that restricts family size to one child, our population is still increasing steadily. We are one of the poorest countries in the world.
