1 SOP Purpose: Once schedules are posted, you may use the Shift Trading feature to offer a shift that you are unable to work to other qualified employees. You can make your shift available to all qualified employees, or directly to another employee. You can also swap shifts with another qualified employee. Applicability: Hourly employees Policy: Once schedules are posted, employees are responsible to work as scheduled. If an unplanned conflict occurs, employees may offer their shift or trade shifts with another qualified employee. All shift trades are subject to the supervisor's approval. Employees are expected to work the shift if no one accepts the trade, and/or the shift trade is not approved by their supervisor. Procedure: DAYFORCE TOUCH CLOCK COMPUTER From the menu, select Work and click Calendar. On one of the scheduled shifts, click the up arrow next to the shift you want to post. You can make the shift available to everyone or only a specific employee.

2 Select Shift Trade. OFFER A SHIFT TO A SPECIFIC EMPLOYEE Select Offer Shift to a Coworker. Select the person that you would like to offer it to and click Post. NOTE: If an employee is already scheduled during the proposed trade, an error will occur preventing an employee from trading with someone who is already scheduled. Employees can offer a shift to someone even if it's outside of his or her availability. NOTE: You can view or cancel any shift trade while it is still pending.

3 OFFER A SHIFT TO EVERYONE WHO IS QUALIFIED TO WORK Select Offer Shift to Everyone. Select Post. NOTE: Remember a shift trade does not guarantee the employee the day off until the request is approved by a supervisor. SWAP SHIFTS WITH A COWORKER Select Swap shifts with a coworker.

4 At the top of the screen shows the details for the shift that you would like to swap. Below, you can search for available shifts. Enter the criteria and select Search. Once you search, it will show you all available shifts. Select a shift and press Post. This employee will get a message asking to swap shifts.

5 ACCEPT A SHIFT TRADE When someone posts an available shift trade or offers to trade with you, you'll receive a notification in Dayforce. To accept the shift, view Work and select Calendar. On your calendar, it will show an arrow for dates with available shifts. Select the down arrow, click Shift Trade, and Pick Up A Shift.

6 This will show the available shifts. Select one and press Accept. PENDING APPROVAL Until the supervisor has approved the offer, you'll see a pending icon on your schedule. NOTE: Remember a shift trade does not guarantee the employee the day off until the request is approved by a supervisor. MOBILE APP From the menu, select Schedule.

7 Select the date you would like to trade and then press the shift details. Select Trade.

8 OFFER A SHIFT TO A SPECIFIC EMPLOYEE Select Trade and select Offer. Select the person that you would like to offer it to. View the Offer Details and select Confirm.

9 Your calendar will now show the pending shift offer. NOTE: If an employee is already scheduled during the proposed trade, an error will occur preventing an employee from trading with someone who is already scheduled. Employees can offer a shift to someone even if it's outside of his or her availability. NOTE: You can view or cancel any shift trade while it is still pending. 10 Review post details and press Confirm. Your calendar will now show the pending post offer. NOTE: Remember a shift trade does not guarantee the employee the day off until the request is approved by a supervisor. SWAP SHIFTS WITH A COWORKER Select Trade and then select Swap.

11 Search for a shift to swap. Once you search, it will show you all available shifts. Select a shift. This employee will get a message asking to swap shifts.

12 Review the swap details and press Confirm. Your calendar will now show the pending swap offer.

13 ACCEPT A SHIFT TRADE When someone posts an available shift trade or offers to trade with you, you'll receive a notification in Dayforce Messages. You'll also see pending offers when you select.

14 To view pending offers, select the select the notification. Selecting Offers or Swaps will show you a list of all available shifts.

15 Select the shift that you would like to pickup and select Accept or Decline. Once you accept, a confirmation will pop up. Select Ok.

16 The new shift will appear on your schedule in yellow. This indicates that the shift is pending until it is approved by a supervisor. When selecting Show Available Shifts, all shifts will be indicated on the calendar in green. Select View Available Shifts.

17 Review the shift details and select Pickup Shift. PENDING APPROVAL Until the supervisor has approved the offer, you'll see a pending icon on your schedule. NOTE: Remember a shift trade does not guarantee the employee the day off until the request is approved by a supervisor.
