5 PROJECT OBJECTIVES Fostering collaboration among the main stakeholders in order to fight youth unemployment Supporting young people aged with innovative measures for their integration into the labour market Engaging with a network of enterprises to foster youth employment Providing guidance to secondary school students about the reality of the labour market Offering a first job experience to young people Testing the Youth Guarantee Scheme in our City

11 OUTCOMES AND LESSONS LEARNED It is key to CONCENTRATE RESOURCES on a small group with similarities Use DIFFERENT CHANNELS to engage participants (for example street counsellors) JOB PLACEMENT PROGRAMME was a success Importance of working with a MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM COORDINATION of the key stakeholders (Steering Committee) It is better to organise SHORTER ITINERARIES/PATHWAYS (4-6 months instead of 1 year) The REQUIREMENTS to join the programme should be adapted to the realities of the cities Offer INFO SESSIONS to secondary schools about the labour market Use EMPLOYMENT PROMOTERS to visit and find out the needs of the enterprises Give a Hallmark/label ENTERPRISES COMMITTED WITH YOUNG EMPLOYMENT as public recognition of their Corporate Social Responsibility ( )
