2 WHO ARE STRIDE? A sensible first question to ask! Stride is part of the STR Group, established in 2000 and specialising in technical recruitment. STR now employs over 160 people with 4 offices in the UK and 1 in the USA. STR s rapid growth has been recognised in the Recruiter s Fast , ranking 15th in the UK. Although STR has recruited in the built environment sector since inception, Stride was founded in Stride was formed to reflect our passion and specialism in the built environment professions. Stride quite simply stands for; STR Infrastructure, Design and Engineering. Our original small team has grown to a team of 25 dedicated consultants, placing candidates within FM, Building Services, Health & Safety and Construction throughout the UK and Internationally. Stride s global placements to date

3 FACILITIES MANAGEMENT & BUILDING SERVICES Our FM & Building Services division has dedicated consultants working with national and independent clients across the UK and internationally. We recruit for both white & blue collar roles, including Facilities Managers, Asset Managers, Space Planners, Maintenance Surveyors, Maintenance Trades (Mechanical, Electrical and Building Fabric) and Soft Services Managers. HEALTH AND SAFETY The H&S team works with a variety of businesses including local authorities, housing associations, NHS Trusts, manufacturing, engineering, new build construction sites, Health & Safety consultancies and independent clients. The types of staff we supply in this sector include Health & Safety Managers, Health & Safety Advisors, Health & Safety Consultants, SHEQ Managers / Advisors and Environmental Health Officers (Food, Housing, Noise & Nuisance). CONSTRUCTION We recruit for national and independent construction companies, local authorities and housing associations across the UK. We are also a registered supplier with Constructionline. The typical roles we recruit for include Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Contracts Managers, Building Surveyors, Site Managers and Site Supervisors. We have preferred supplier status with a number of clients. CANDIDATE DATABASE We have an extensive database of candidates that we can recruit from within our specialist areas. The database is regularly updated to ensure we can track our applicant availability, and we pride ourselves on placing most of our candidates using our in-house database, rather than external job boards.

5 CULTURE AND VALUES Stride Recruitment has a balanced mix of experienced and trainee recruitment consultants. Our commitment to the sector means you will see us attending various events including annual exhibitions such as the Health & Safety Expo, FM Exhibition and The Buildings Maintenance Show. CHARITY In September, the Stride team will be undertaking their biggest challenge yet... The National Three Peaks Challenge - with a goal of completing it in under 24 hours. The challenge will involve 11 members of the Stride team attempting to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within the 24 hour time frame in order to raise valuable funds for The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust was established with the objective of helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds succeed in their architecture or built environment career aspirations.
