8 1:1 Modular Programmes In addition to our Executive Unlimited 1:1 Programme and Professional 1:1 Outplacement fully supported programmes we offer face to face or skype 1:1 programmes on a modular basis. These are typically used for individuals who require less support than that which is provided by either the Executive or Professional programme but who still need 1:1 outplacement support. You may for instance have an individual with a significant length of service, an individual with specific health issues, have just one, two or a handful of individuals so a workshop isn t a feasible option, or quite simply a modular 1:1 programme ideally matches both the individual s needs and your budget. Modules can include any of the following: Exploration and agreement of realistic career options. An in-depth discussion on the way forward will take place. The consultant will relate this to the current job market. Develop a winning CV and letters. An individual s success depends on the ability to sell themselves and the first stage in this process is the CV and covering letter. A CV will be created and the consultant will guide and work with the employee to provide the final polish. The job market. All sources of opportunity will be explained. We will discuss the important factors affecting employers when they are recruiting and how they go about it. Advertised vacancy analysis and response. What does the advertisement really mean? Does the individual meet the criteria? How to write an effective application letter. Interview techniques and presentation skills. 10 Job Search Workshop Our most popular workshop, specifically created to give individuals everything they need to be successful in their job search. Overview The successful re-employment of individuals depends on how well they are able to conduct a job search. This highly interactive workshop provides the participants with everything they need to be able to carry out a successful job search campaign. Workbooks, which include examples and exercises, are provided for each attendee. 14 Pre-Retirement Workshop (also available as 1:1 Programme) Overview Employees considering early retirement, or nearing retirement age, often benefit from support in making the transition from work to retirement. When individuals consider retirement they often do not fully consider all the personal, financial and professional implications. This workshop helps employees explore employment options, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities and voluntary work as well as financial and lifestyle considerations in retirement. Programme Content The programme is divided into two parts lifestyle planning and financial planning. Understanding and accepting the changes taking place including discussion around the change curve. Assessment of lifestyle factors and evaluation of opportunities. Family matters including changing relationships. Making a will. Use of time. Home situation and relocation options. Employment and entrepreneurial possibilities during retirement. Emotional wellbeing and health. Pension considerations. Financial planning considerations. Insurances and tax. Creating an action plan. 1 month access to careerline and access to the virtual career centre are included where the individual is considering taking up any form of employment. Where appropriate, a free of charge additional consultation to discuss the financial situation in more depth is made with our approved financial advisers, Birchwood. Outcomes The seminar is divided into two parts financial planning and lifestyle planning which allows participants to explore all options. Participants benefit from open dialogue with other individuals exploring retirement. 15 Independent Financial Advice Seminar A major barrier to change can be concern over the financial implications involved. Early access to impartial advice on these matters is useful and we can arrange access to respected independent professionals in this field. Our Financial Advice partner has worked with us for many years. Independent Financial Advice Seminars Where appropriate, we are able to provide free IFA Seminars to groups of individuals who are then able to follow up with a personal one to one consultation where required. Seminars can be comfortably delivered in 2 hours and attendees will have the chance to request a free no obligation personal consultation at a mutually convenient date/time and location. 16 1:1 sessions to support Workshops Overview Either before or after any workshop we suggest that you consider providing 1:1 coaching sessions for the individuals attending the workshop. This allows the individual to address personally specific areas of their job search which would not be appropriate to address in a group setting. If used prior to the workshop they help to get all individuals up to the same level of understanding prior to the start of the workshop so that there are no hindrances to the workshop on the day. If individuals have personal concerns or worries that could affect their focus on the workshop, it is a good idea to address them before the group gets together so that the workshop can start without a hitch as there is a lot of content to be covered. If used following the workshop they can aid in: Deepening understanding of any aspect covered on the workshop. Addressing personal concerns that not yet been resolved. Review and input into draft CV or covering letter. Interview practice. Discussing the career objective and aiding in decision making. Motivation and support. We can deliver full days of 1:1 coaching consultations onsite or individual 1:1 sessions through our nationwide office network as required and flex to your requirements around these. Full days of 1:1 sessions would include 7 x 1 hour sessions.

17 Onsite Career Resource Centres Overview Onsite Resource Centres are often the focal point of an on-site programme, providing a central coordination point for workshops, consultancy sessions and practical, visible support services. Centres can be established onsite or at any location convenient for the organisation and their employees. They are particularly valuable when large scale changes occur over an extended period. The Resource Centre provides a supportive environment for clients a one stop shop providing affected employees with access to a dedicated career consultant and support services. The resources available are extensive and include access to the internet for job search purposes, vacancy databases, appropriate newspapers, information from the Benefits Agency, local training information, internal opportunities and other material of a relevant nature. Vacancies are displayed in the Centre and access is provided to both the Virtual Career Centre online resources and the CareerLine Helpdesk. Staffing is available as much or as little as required. If required, a dedicated Proactive Job-searcher can be included within the project who will contact businesses directly to seek out vacancies, maintain links with relevant local employers, Government Agencies and Local Employment Agencies. In effect, this offers a free recruitment service to employers and has been proven to accelerate the rate of resettlement with external jobs.
