8 Module Overview /Module 1 INTRO Introduction to technology & critical business skills Duration: 1 week Focus: Business You will gain an understanding of the history behind technology and what has driven the biggest changes in customer behaviour. You ll learn how companies in technology make money now and possible ways for the future. Understand the methods we will be using to help you gain the skills you need to be successful. Business Analyst /Module 2 EMTECH1 Keeping up with future trends: AI, VR & Blockchain Duration: 1 week Focus: Technology This module will help you understand and explain what Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Blockchain are. You will show your thinking and logic behind how these could disrupt an industry and aid a business. We will give you an insight into the types of roles that will become available in the future as a result of this technology. You will also have hands-on experience using an emerging technology. Data Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer, Software Develper, Research Engineer, Business Analyst, UX/UI Designer /Module 3 AGILE Managing successful projects: Traditional & agile project management, high performing teams Duration: 1 week Focus: Business This module will help you to acquire an agile mindset. You will gain enhanced skills for working with others such as communication, collaboration, teamwork/ teambuilding, conflict management, leadership and diplomacy. You will also gain vital business skills such as time management and planning, decision making, estimation, handling stress, problem solving and dealing with change/ flexibility. 9 Module Overview /Module 5 PROG Programming for successful projects Duration: 2 weeks Focus: Technology You will gain an understanding of what programming language is best suited for each purpose. The active focus of this module will see you creating full stack applications. Web Developer, UX/UI Designer, Fullstack Developer, System Administrator, Backend Developer, Mobile App Developer /Module 6 MKT Winning profitable new business through strategy, sales, marketing & finance Duration: 2 week Focus: Business Learn how to converse with non-technical people and customers. You will also discover how to cross the chasm from building great products to having people use them. You will be able to interpret financial reports and data, and learn how to understand this from a customer perspective in a macro environment. This will give you a strong understanding of how to peel the onion to truly understand customer problems or pain-points. You will then gain the valuable experience of building a plan to solve these customer challenges. Product Manager, Product Development, Sales Consultant, Pre-Sales Technical Lead, Marketing, Multiple Sales and Pre-Sales roles, Business Consultant /Module 7 ARCH Creating new solutions through architectural thinking Duration: 1 week Focus: Technology In this module you will come to understand design patterns and when to apply them. You will be able to describe high-level solution architecture based on requirements, as well as understand database design, UI design and infrastructure design. Systems Administrator, Network Engineer, Cloud Architect, Software and Application Tester, Solution Architect, Pre-sales Technical Lead, Security Analyst, Security Architect, Software Developer /Module 8 EMTECH2 Keeping up with future trends: Cloud, APIs and IOT Duration: 2 weeks Focus: Technology You will gain a deeper understanding of what the Internet of Things or IoT is, and how you can enhance a company s products by using Cloud technologies such as AWS. You will gain critical problem-solving skills to be able to create a simple and affordable solution that will enhance a company s products. 10 Module Overview /Module 9 DATA Interpreting, managing & analysing data Duration: 2 weeks Focus: Technology You will gain the mindset and ability to analyse data for business outcomes with simple tools. You will then progress to gain understanding of more sophisticated tools and techniques such as Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning. Data Analyst, Data Scientist, BI Consultant, Business Analyst, Product Manager, Machine Learning Engineer /Module 11 SEC Streamline operations with Site Reliability Engineering Duration: 2 week Focus: Business This module helps you to gain an understanding of the SRE mindset and how to build reliable applications, with appropriate automation, monitoring, backup, and change management in place. You will gain the skills to rapidly diagnose common problems and be able to correct them. System Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Customer Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer /Module 10 DEVOPS Developing software solutions through successful delivery processes Duration: 2 weeks Focus: Technology Gain an understanding of DevOps principles and practices necessary to build a continuous delivery pipeline that includes automated build and deployment, functional and performance testing. DevOps engineer, Regression Tester, Performance Tester, System Administrator, Full Stack Developer, Site Reliability Engineer /Module 12 SRE Creating & maintaining secure environments Duration: 2 weeks Focus: Technology In this final module you will discover that people, process and technical practices are the core of most cyber security problems. The goal is to protect critical infrastructures, digital business and sensitive information from internal and external threats or negligence. You will learn how to recognise and respond to attacks, and also gain hands-on experience on some of the tools that hackers use. 11 Module Overview /Project Mercury Duration: 13 weeks You will immerse yourself in this 3-month project learning how to act as a professional in a real business environment. You will gain experience pitching for a project, perform project planning, understand customers, design and apply emerging technologies to work with existing technology and business constraints, then delivering and testing a solution before handing it over to a customer. 12 Levels and Scores Level 5 Super Difficult Level 2 Moderate Level 1 Easy The Levels of modules are reflected by the duration of the module. A one-week module is Level 1, whereas a 2-week module will be Level 2. Level ,000 SCORES/MODULE SCORES/MODULE PROJECT MERCURY The level assigned equates to the total scores available for each team to compete for per week Project Mercury is for 12 weeks and attracts the maximum total score of 18,000 Level 2 11

You can choose to take advantage of some of our discounts by paying it in one go: Earlybird discount* (10% discount) $15, incl GST Total payment upfront (5% discount) $16, incl GST *Available up to 1 month prior to programme start date. Or you can pay as you go with our monthly payment option: Monthly Payment $2,415 incl GST per month If you withdraw from the programme, we ll be sad to see you go but we ll also refund the remaining amount if you paid in full upfront.
