By evaluating financial information you will build confidence in developing business cases for decision making. MODULE LEARIG OUTCOMES By engaging successfully with this module a student will be able to Identify and apply appropriate financial information and financial reporting procedures to facilities management. Identify the linkages between the FM provision and business and financial planning Extract, construct and analyse relevant financial indicators that assist facilities management decision making. Apply financial targets to the setting up and management of facilities management provision. IDICATIVE COTET Financial terminology Financial statements and reporting Financial performance management Management of capital and revenue budgets Cash flow Break even analysis Business case development LEARIG AD TEACHIG METHODS Students will be supported in their learning, to achieve the above outcomes, in the following ways This module uses a combination of teaching and learning practices as a way of developing enquirybased learning. It is important that the students develop the professional skills they require for practice; therefore emphasis is placed on developing evidence based proposals generated from individual and collaborative ways of learning. A planned systematic approach will be used to ensure you receive a challenging learning experience. Lectures will be interactive and you will be encouraged to participate. The workshops will be an opportunity to implement, into real world situations, the principles and concepts taught on the module. The workshop sessions will be used for providing formative feedback.
