Sometimes this road to the top is interrupted by pregnancy and young-family life, accompanied by physical and mental changes. In fact, with the right support and guidance, the short pregnancy break can prove to be a career booster. The SHE Performance program offers great benefits to organisations and their employees: increased productivity, reduced absenteeism and higher employee loyalty. 3 Research. SHE Performance is based on in- and external research. 45% 96% 50% 85% SHE Performance is an initiative of Mom in Balance, the sports and coaching organisation for (pregnant) women. Over the past 10 years, the Mom in Balance Outdoor Sports Program has trained over 45,000 ambitious women worldwide in the pregnancy phase and early years of motherhood. During these workouts we developed an substantial knowledge base on what moves and the needs of women in this phase. SHE Performance has been developed combining this knowledge with internal and external research. Mom in Balance conducted a review among 440 respondents on health, work, and family. Next to that TNO, the major Dutch research institute, interviewed 313 Mom in Balance members about the effect of the workouts. External reports from institutes like Mercer, CBS and VU Medical Center, on women combining family life with career, gender diversity and workplace support further substantiated the development of the SHE Performance program. Alongside we summarized the most outstanding results from these studies. CREATING A BALANCED MAN-FEMALE WORK ENVIRONMENT PROVIDES EFFICIENCY, COST SAVINGS, INCREASES INVOLVEMENT, STIMULATES PRODUCTIVITY AND PROMOTES BRAND REPUTATION. LESS ABSENTEEISM AND MORE PROMOTION OF WOMEN TO HIGHER POSITIONS. IS IN NEED OF AN OPEN DIALOGUE, WHICH WILL CONTRIBUTE TO MOTIVATION, LOYALTY AND ENTHUSIASM. MORE CONTACT WITH THE EMPLOYER AND MORE APPREHENSION TOWARDS THE EMPLOYEE REDUCES STRESS AND HAS A POSITIVE EFFECT ON THE RESUMPTION OF WORK. COMMUNICATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR TO PREVENT ABSENTEEISM AND STIMULATES A POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CAREER. EXPERIENCES NOT ENOUGH UNDERSTANDING FOR THEIR CHANGING SITUATION. 42% OF THE MOTHERS WHO DO FEEL SUPPORTED ARE WILLING TO WORK MORE HOURS. 88% OF THE MOM IN BALANCE MEMBERS REGARD THEMSELVES AMBITIOUS. 4 SHE Performance SHE Performance is the support program for organisations in retaining female talent during and after the pregnancy by connecting and empowering them in their ambitions. The program provides a dashboard for managers to guide employees during and after pregnancy, with the aim of giving women confidence to be an ambitious working mother. The SHE Performance program is specifically designed to maintain female talent within organisations worldwide. 5 Dashboard The SHE Performance online portal operates as a personal dashboard for the manager and covers a period of 18 months. By actively supporting this 18-month period, women will gain in self-confidence and remain the powerful employee as they were before the pregnancy. With a personal timeline the dashboard gives the manager visual insight into the whole process around the pregnancy of the employee. In addition, the manager receives trigger mails with practical tools to regularly talk to the employee about personal and business developments. In this way, the manager will be coached to support the employee to find a suitable (new) role as a mother in combination with her job. 6 Workouts Women achieve more in life when they are mentally and physically strong. Sporting with likeminded women is a way to set goals individually as well as together, to exchange knowledge, to learn and ultimately perform better. Additionally, exercising makes your body deal more effectively with fear and stress so you can energetically balance work, family and yourself. The employees can join the Mom in Balance outdoor workouts or follow the Mom in Balance home routines for a pleasant pregnancy and a good recovery after childbirth. After the recovery phase, they can maintain their fitness in the Back in Shape and Mpower sessions. During these workouts, we connect inspirational and active mothers (to be) to share experiences and tips. Mom in Balance has over 230 training locations in 12 countries. 7 Coaching It s probably one of the biggest challenges: running a family, working hard and finding time to reload. Many employees find it hard to combine an ambitious job with parenting. SHE Performance facilitates inspiring Be the Best You-coaching sessions specially designed to create a good balance in the first phase of parenting combined with an ambitious job and provide connectivity with employees in the same phase within the organisation. 10 Benefits. The SHE Performance supports program provides many benefits to the organisation. Due to the increased vitality of (pregnant) employees, the risk of dropout and outflow is less significant. Less outflow ensures a balanced man-woman ratio, what will lead to a higher chance of more diversity within organisations. In addition, less absenteeism is an important cost saving. A true win-win situation for the organisation as well for the employee. Dashboard By creating a space where you can discus openly about goals and ambitions, there will be a pleasant dialogue. Hereby the manager will feel more involved and the employee more appreciated. This has a positive effect on the employee productivity and loyalty. Workouts The workouts provide for a fit and energetic pregnancy. The employee becomes physically and mentally strong, before and after childbirth. This will prevent complaints and dropouts during and after the pregnancy. Besides that, it will give her enough energy to organize everything properly so she can make the right choices and will experience a cheerful and energetic return of her leave. During the workouts of Mom in Balance, the employee has the opportunity to exchange experiences with other inspiring women in the same phase. Coaching The goal of Be the Best You-coaching is to create a good work-life balance for employees. When they find a good balance between work, family and themselves, they will feel more self-conscious. This provides their motivation and will create more positive and energetic employees. During this group coaching, the employee has the opportunity to exchange experiences with other inspiring women in the same phase within the organisation. University of Utrecht SHE Performance teamed up with the University of Utrecht. There will be reviews taken throughout the entire SHE Performance process. The results will be shared by a report with the participating organisation. Intern communication It is possible to order SHE Performance communication material for intern use with the logo of your own organisation. For this, there are variable costs.
