1 Welcome to Amgen! All new hires at Amgen need to complete a variety of onboarding tasks in Workday prior to their first day of employment. Completing the onboarding tasks to their entirety will help you be ready for your first day of employment and ensure timely payroll set-up and other important HR systems. Target Audience Pre-employee and new hire Regular staff, including Amgen Paid Temps and Interns/Co-ops. Task to Complete Review Documents Enter Personal Information Update Contact Information Change Emergency Contacts Change My Photo Depending on your country, you may also be presented a task to: Enter/Edit Government IDs Add Payment Details Enter Maiden Name Dependent Entry Additional Onboarding Tasks for Your First Day of Employment QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE LINKS AND RESOURCES MyHR Navigation Workday Navigation Contact Us Helpful Hints All onboarding tasks must be completed (cleared from your inbox via Submit button) to prevent any delays with setting you up for payroll and other important HR systems. Fields with a red asterisk (*) are required and must be completed before you click on Submit. Use the edit icon to enter/update information, then click on the save button to save the answer to every field. Click on the done button and finally on the Submit button to be done with every task. If your information changes prior to your first day of employment, you can return to Workday through MyHR Portal to make further updates. If all the information required is not available when updates are made, use the Save for Later button at the bottom of the screen to prevent re-work. You must return to complete any Save for Later tasks before your first day of employment to avoid any delays with your payroll set-up. If you have difficulty accessing the MyHR or have any questions, please contact Human Resources by clicking Contact Us in the header/footer of the MyHR portal. Access the Portal 1. Log on to MyHR. 2. Select the Settle in with New Hire Activities tile. 1

2 1. From the Workday homepage, select Let s Get Started! 1 2. Select the Onboarding worklet Select Take Me There Review the important instructions. Then, select View Inbox You will be delivered the Review Documents task first. Based on your country, the task will request for you: Read and acknowledge a document by clicking on the I Agree checkbox, and/or You may be instructed to take an action with a document (read, complete, return). When you ve completed the action(s) requested from this task, click Submit. If your country does not have a document for you to take an action, then click on Submit Click the outstanding activity in your inbox. The remaining Onboarding To Dos will be highlighted in orange. 6 2

3 Note: The order in which tasks appear in your inbox may vary based on your region. This guide provides you the recommended order to complete these tasks. Be sure to complete all tasks in your inbox in their entirety. 7. Update Personal Information click on the Change My Personal Information button. Read the instructions at the top of the Personal Information and click on the edit icon to begin entering/updating your Gender, verify Date of Birth, Marital Status, and Citizenship status. 7 In certain countries, you may also be asked for Race/Ethnicity, Disability, and Military Service (only complete the required fields marked with a red asterisk*). There will be an answer available for a scenario that applies to you. 7 When all fields are completed, click Submit, then Done, then Submit on the Update Personal Information To Do Enter/Verify Legal Name click on the Change My Legal Name button to add/update your Legal Name. 8 Done, then Submit on the Update Enter/Verify Legal Name To Do. 3

4 9. Enter/Verify Preferred Name click on the Change My Preferred Name button to add/update your Preferred Name. 9 Done, then Submit on the Update Enter/Verify Preferred Name To Do. 10. Update Contact Information click on the Change My Contact Information button to add/update your full primary address, primary phone, and primary address. You can also provide additional contact information. 10 U.S. Field Workers: If you have an address to provide other than your primary home address, include this address in the Additional Address section with a Usage Type of Field Based Mailing Address. Done, then Submit on the Update Contact Information To Do. 11. On Add Emergency Contact click on the Change My Emergency Contacts button to add your primary emergency contact. You must include all information, including: legal name, relationship to you, preferred language, primary address, and primary phone number. You may also include address and other information. You can also provide a second emergency contact information. 11 Done, then Submit on the Add Emergency Contacts To Do. 4

5 12. For non-u.s., non- Australia, and non-japan: On Enter/Verify Government IDs, click on Change My Government IDs button to add your government ID (based on your country requirements). This information must be correctly entered before your first day of employment to ensure timely set-up of payroll. Provide the Government ID from the country that has employed you. To get started, click on the add row button, then in the Country field use 12 the Prompt button to select your country of employment. Then, in the National ID Type field use the Prompt button to select the ID that pertains to you. Next, type your Identification # and if appropriate, the Issued and Expiration Date. 12 then Submit on the Add Emergency Contacts To Do. U.S. Sites: On your start date, review your social security number has been entered correctly by logging into Workday and clicking on your Personal Information - IDs. If you have a Visa, provide the Visa information during your employment verification and it will be entered in Workday on your behalf. 13. Update Change My Photo by clicking the Change My Photo button. If you ve updated your photo or if you want to upload a photo later, click Submit and change later. 13 Then Done and Submit on the Change My Photo To Do. 14. Based on your country s requirements, you may be required to Add Payment Details to set-up your bank account for salary payments. If you have a bank account from a different country, contact HR Connect for assistance. To add a bank account at a later time, click Submit. 14 then Submit on the Add Payment Elections To Do. 5

Based on your country s requirements, you may be required to enter your Maiden Name. then Submit on the Maiden Name To Do Based on your country s requirements, you may be required to provide a Dependent Entry. then Submit on the Dependent Entry To Do Based on your country s requirements, you may have additional onboarding tasks. This may include requirements related to returning documentation or bringing employment verification with you on your first day of employment. After reviewing instructions, click on Submit. 17 then Submit on the On Your First Day To Do. 18. On your first day of employment, be sure to visit the MyHR portal to review your Complete New Hire Activities in Workday and review the New Hire Roadmap/New Hire Information tile. 18 By your first day of employment, your Onboarding tasks should be completed (click Submit to all to get an empty Workday inbox) in their entirety (all completed fields in each To Do) to ensure your employee record is complete, timely payroll set-up, and other important HR systems. 8 6
