1 RFID CASE STUDY: Club Management System in Omaxe Riviera, Uttarakhand Customer: This integrated mini-township in Rudrapur, Uttaranchal spread over 48 acres is a perfect location away from city s noisy environs on the Nainital road, approx 400 metre from the highway. Approved by SIDCUL, it is a blend of design and functionality, Riviera is conveniently located and offers a country club lifestyle with pollution free environment. Features include shopping space, school, health centre, club, banquet hall, restaurant to name a few. It also has specially designed apartments. Residents have begun to enjoy the luxury of 2/3/4 bedroom apartments on offer. This project is bound to cater to the population in the city as a result of large scale industrial development.

The Concern The hospitality industry in India has grown by leaps and bounds in the last decade. Innumerable Clubs, restaurants and hotels have filled up the cities.

Keeping a track of the loyal customers, giving them the required benefits and recognizing customers at clubs will allow them to create an additional value as against their competition. For the same, the hospitality industry is now turning to Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based solutions for smooth payment and secure access. Eco Tracksys Ltd s product for the hospitality industry has gained a lot of mileage within well known membership clubs and restaurants. Challenges- Money matters a lot Financial management is critical, whether it is an individual or an organization. It becomes all the more imperative if matters come to managing facilities, especially if end users are families in housing societies. This was the challenge that was faced by Omaxe Groups in Rudrapur in handling the transactions of different facilities in the Society Club. To handling such dynamic and challenging environment RFID decided to take money matters to a new level. So currently we are offering RFID as a supplement to boost the existing product Effective leadership is putting first things first. Effective management is discipline, carrying it out. Solution Every club member has a unique RFID HF Smart card which contains details like name of the member, membership number, Flat number, contact details and photograph.

As the member enters the club premises, he/she has to get the privilege card recharged as per the requirement at the payment booth adjacent to the entry gate. Now since the card is recharged, the member is ready to avail different facilities of the club i.e- access to Billiards room, Gym and Swimming Pool. One means of utilizing the RFID technology is to enforce access control when a club's front desk is not occupied by an employee checking members into the facility. The main entry gate and subsequent facility entrance doors are equipped with HF RFID readers. If the member is authorized and has adequate amount in the card, he/she can simply touch the card with RFID reader following which the access will be granted. If the card is running out of balance the member has to get it recharged from the payment booth. On entry at the main gate a sum of Rs 250 is being charged which is valid for a period of 1 month. Like entering at main gate, every facility is charged at the rate of Rs 100 which again will be valid for a period of 1 month. Alternatively a kiosk can also be provided through which the member will be able to access his card information and the series of transactions made

There were 3 facilities viz- Billiards, Gym, Swimming Pool availing which the person has to pay 50, 100, 100 respectively. b.
