Alliance Healthcare Deutschland, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, is one of the leading pharmaceutical wholesalers in Germany. Alliance Healthcare Deutschland AG is a member of Walgreens Boots Alliance, the first global pharmacy-led, health and wellbeing enterprise in the world. In April 2013 the company emerged from the pharmaceutical wholesaler Andreae-Noris Zahn AG. Against this backdrop Alliance Healthcare Deutschland supports the sell-out of the products through comprehensive distribution and marketing services. To do so, it leverages the resources of its subsidiaries such as the data analyses of GESDAT Gesellschaft für Informationsmanagement mbh, the manufacturer logistics of CPL Pharma Lager und Vertrieb GmbH, the distribution activities of Skills in Healthcare GmbH Deutschland or end-consumer promotions through the pharmacy co-operation network Alphega Apothekenpartner GmbH. 1

2 Rapid, safe, reliable: high quality of the logistics services guaranteed The throughput time of the delivery tray through the warehouse does not exceed 25 minutes then the goods are ready for shipment. With its logistics services, Alliance Healthcare Deutschland ensures a nationwide and prompt supply of the pharmacies and hence safeguards the reliable supply of the population with pharmaceutical products. As the first pharmaceutical wholesaler in Germany Alliance Healthcare Deutschland has developed a holistically validated system chain for the shipment of cold chain products. The thermo containers used in this field fully meet the high quality demands imposed on the handling of thermo-labile medicines without restrictions. Innovative marketing and customer loyalty tools support sell-out in the pharmacy Apart from its logistics services, Alliance Healthcare Deutschland supports its customers, the pharmacists and the pharmaceutical industry, also at the sell-out of healthcare, cosmetics and beauty products. Pharmacies are provided with comprehensive marketing services for their pharmacy: advertising campaigns at the point of sale support the sell-out and ensure that the pharmacy is optimally positioned in its competitive environment. For the pharmaceutical manufacturers and their portfolios Alliance Healthcare Deutschland builds distribution bridges to the pharmacy and develops effective sales promotion strategies. 2

3 Marketing services from a single source for pharmaceutical manufacturers The subsidiary Skills in Healthcare supports manufacturers during their market entry and market development. As part of a European contract sales organisation, which distributes healthcare products from various manufacturers already in eight countries to more than 81,100* pharmacies, successful concepts can be introduced rapidly on the Germany pharmacy market. The participating pharmacies receive additional marketing support depending on the manufacturer agreements. Higher earnings through internationally successful top brands With a large own portfolio including attractive products, Alliance Healthcare Deutschland offers independent pharmacies incremental earnings opportunities. Since March 2012 this has included a selection from the established medical devices range alvita, an own brand of Walgreens Boots Alliance. The successful brand alvita Germany since has been available in pharmacies all over 3

4 Since January 2012 the internationally successful cosmetic lines Serum 7, Serum 7 LIFT and Optíva of Boots Laboratories have been available in Germany. The internationally successful cosmetic lines from Boots Laboratories provide pharmacies with incremental earnings opportunities. Stronger together: active support for independent pharmacists through co-operations Alphega Apotheken is a member of Alphega Pharmacy, the leading network of independent pharmacists in Europe. Founded in 2001, Alphega Pharmacy now supports more than 4,800* independent pharmacies in seven countries Czech Republic, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Russia and United Kingdom. As a result of the partnership-based co-operation with its members, Alphega Pharmacy intends to improve the quality of healthcare throughout Europe. Pharmacists remain independent entrepreneurs and can, at the same time, draw on the far-reaching resources of the Alphega system headquarters and Alliance Healthcare, the leading pharmaceutical wholesaler. Alphega identifies the different needs of the pharmacies and offers customised packages based on its 360 degree concept in order to meet the specific requirements of the pharmacy business and help the members to rely on their own strengths. In July 2014 the former vivesco was renamed by a clear majority vote of the members into Alphega Apotheken. Alphega Apotheken focuses on the support of independent pharmacists through a comprehensive offering of services around marketing, health advice for patients, personnel management and continuing education as well as operating processes and finance. Alphega Apotheken is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliance Healthcare Deutschland. 4

5 Obligated to patient support Alcura is an international healthcare service provider offering innovative and specialised healthcare services that meet the needs of patients, healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical business partners. As a member of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Alcura is unique as it can integrate services from across its international group to support the core Alcura offering to patients and partners.
