In , 309 schoolchildren took part in the Olympiad, including 39 children of JSC RusHydro s employees. Organizing internships for students and providing workplaces for MPEI Volzhsky Branch graduates. From 2010 to 2012, 41 students undertook an internship at Volzhskaya Hydropower Station, branch of JSC RusHydro, and 9 students were offered jobs. In , it is planned to set up a degree-giving department of JSC RusHydro at MPEI. 12

Objectives: Developing and introducing a unified process that will ensure selection, training and acquisition of practical skills in the selected professional area based on RusHydro s early vocational guidance system, Korung, specialist universities, NIIES, VNIIG, Gidroproekt, Lengidroproekt, and Mosoblgidroproekt; Developing, formalizing and introducing a network of bonds between all elements of the system; Selecting, perfecting and developing training programs; Developing a material support system for the operation of the system. Principles of operation: The department is a center of methodology, training and professional development of the teaching staff and master s degree holders for RusHydro s research, design and adjustment centers; MPEI branches, Korung, RusHydro s training centers and local specialist universities are centers for training middle-level specialists and master s degree engineers for RusHydro s operational, repair and installation divisions. 13
