8 Beginning the New Initiative Site assessment criteria Direct access to a major point of entry at the vicinity of the State border Site location prohibits opportunity for truck bypass Good visibility, sight distance and storage capacity for entrance and exit ramps Site has adequate mainline distance and configuration for installation of Weigh in Motion (WIM) systems and other mainline classifications or screening features. Adjoining roadway has relatively flat profiles and grades

Drainage issues Availability of utility service Access to emergency and medical services Compatibility with surrounding land uses and community planning and development No significant impact to special historic or cultural features
