13 13 Variable Speed Limit Signs I-285 Variable Speed Limit Signs o Design-Build contract ($4,921,604.00) o Contract completion date of September 30, 2014 o VSLS on north end and static signs on south end o LED signs to regulate speed limit and traffic flow o Raise speed limit from 55 mph to 65 mph o VSLS to be implemented on I-85, I-75 and I-20

15 I-75 Express Lanes Total Project length of approximately 17miles Begins at SR 155/McDonough Road and terminates at SR 138/Stockbridge Highway One (1) reversible barrier-separated managed lane in the median of I-75 from SR 155 to north of SR 20 Two (2) reversible barrier separated managed lanes in the median of I-75 from north of SR 20 to SR 138 Northbound operations in the morning and reverses southbound operation in the evening Design-Build Contract ($176,247,661.51) Open to Tolling by December 31, 2016 Contract completion by June 30,

16 I-85 Express Lanes - Extension Project length of 10 miles Begins at Old Peachtree Road and terminates at Hamilton Mill Road One (1) bi-directional buffer-separated managed lane along the outside of I-85 from Old Peachtree Road to South of I-985 One (1) bi-directional buffer-separated managed lane along the inside shoulder of I- 85 from South of I-985 to Hamilton Mill Road Project procured by Design-Build delivery 16

17 17 Weigh-in-Motion Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) o WIM measures truck weights and axle configuration at highway speeds o Virtual WIM allows for real-time enforcement of overloaded vehicles o Best Value Selection Method - Project that Includes Software Development, Integration or Rapidly Changing Technologies o Upgrade all 19 total truck weigh stations o Procurement process to begin in January 2014
