12 Project Management A Project team is named consisting of: - The Customer Service Representative, Purchasing Lead, Production Manager, President, Quality Manager and the General Manager. Issues discussed include Design/Development Involvement Vendor/subcontractor requirement Materials Availability Process and Equipment Capability/Availability Identification and Traceability Personnel /Training Requirements

13 Customer Purchase Order When the Customer s Purchase Order is received and a delivery date is agreed upon. - The order is entered. - The CSR turns over the complete BOM, Reference locators, drawings, samples, to the Purchasing unit for processing into an online system and the creation of a Master File for the project.

14 Purchasing Raw Components A Bill Of Materials is generated A Work order is generated The MRP creates a Suggested Buy Report. The Purchasing Agent begins to buy from Approved Vendors

15 Receiving Inspection and Kitting As raw components are received they are inspected and forwarded to the Kitting unit. The Kitting unit will, with their own in-process inspection, confirm part numbers and counts for the assembly of the total production kit. Once assembled the kit is released to Manufacturing to begin Production Activity

16 Identification/Traceability BetaTron s MRP/Online business system provides component traceability back to the original vendor. BetaTron s minimum format of traceability on production items is Work Order number, Part number, Serial Number (pcb s). Variations are subject to contractual agreement. The Production Coordinator examines the drawing package and produces the Traveler. This is a controlled document that outlines processes or tasks for the production run. Included in the process overview are inspections, test and/or verification of task completion.

17 ID/Trace Cont. Incorporated within the Traveler is the identification of personnel that effected the production of the product. The Traveler moves along with the product for the purpose of quickly and accurately identifying status. PCB projects are serialized before production begins. This insures ID throughout its production life.

18 Final Inspection/Bag & Tag We perform 100% Final Inspection. -Any units that do not pass inspection are routed back to the floor for correction and tested and inspected again. -After completion of inspection the units are forwarded to Bag & Tag in final preparation for delivery.

19 Warranty / Non-Conforming BetaTron Electronics builds and inspects to the requirements of IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-620 Class II unless otherwise negotiated through contractual agreement. BetaTron offers no warranty of liability for intended use or suitability of design for intended use of manufactured product. BetaTron Electronics warranties workmanship for one year.
