5 General Objective Reduce GHG emissions and improve local air quality Focus: Rationalization and energy efficiency and sound land use management. Strategic interventions Technical assistance and training (studies, workshops, experts, etc.) Pilot investments
6 Specific Objectives Contribute to a long-term modal change. Foster sound land use planing. Induce air quality improvement Promote a sustainable transport approach at a regional level. Facilitate experience sharing and tools improvement.
7 Funds USD100 million (9-10 years). Three phases. First phase: USD40 million. Expected leverage: at least USD300 million by local governments and private sector.

Recovery of urban centers to promote accesibility. Platform for public and community participation.
11 Non Motorized Transport Campaigns, events and awareness raising to foster use of bycicle; Implement cycling routes and pedestrian facilities and landscape improvement in specific areas; Creation of safe secure access for non motorized transport to transport corridors. Development of guidelines for cycling and pedestrian facilities.
