2 Introduction CEVA Showfreight are again bringing their exhibition site logistics and forwarding skills to FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW as the sole officially appointed freight contractor for the 2018 event. Farnborough International have chosen CEVA to expertly facilitate the efficient movement of stand fitting material and exhibits whilst on site at Farnborough Aerodrome along with the arrangement of any international or domestic freighting requirements you may have. Our appointment has come through our hard work and proven track record at this and other major events and that this in turn will give you peace of mind in our ability to perform competently and professionally at all times. 3 Official Shipping and Handling Instructions International shipping instructions CEVA Showfreight has an experienced team in place to assist with the receiving and handing of cargo at all ports and airports of entry into the UK. To compliment this we are able to offer a truly worldwide network of exhibition freight logistics partners who will work closely with you to arrange the collection of your shipment from any point and monitor through to delivery at your stand. Please contact us for further information and details of your locally appointed affiliate. Arrival deadlines The following deadlines for arrival of freight via various modes of transport are given as a guideline only. Ocean full container loads arrival at UK port Ocean less container loads arrival at UK port Airfreight to arrive at London Heathrow 7 Working Days Prior to requirement on stand 12 Working Days Prior to requirement on stand 7 working days prior to requirement on stand A 25% late arrival surcharge will apply for Ocean Freight arriving after 22nd June 2018 A 50% late arrival surcharge will apply for Air Freight arriving after 6th July 2018 Airfreight Arriving after 9th July Freight Operations on site will cease at 1800Hours on Friday 13th July 2018 Documentation (non EU consignments) In order to process and facilitate Customs clearance we require a combined commercial invoice and packing list consigned to your stand at FIA This should detail the size, weight and contents of each package and give an itemised value with individual HS codes, also stating clearly if goods are intended for permanent or temporary import. Promotional items for free distribution can generally be imported without payment of Duty and VAT at the discretion of Customs and Excise, for other items not intended for re-export the applicable import taxes will of course need to be paid. Commercial invoice templates can be provided upon request.

4 Official Shipping and Handling Instructions Materials Handling For Security and Health & Safety reasons, the Show Organiser will dictate that the number of vehicles granted access to the site is kept to a minimum for this year s event. Full loads of stand building materials will be granted access to the hall areas on a booking only basis and the contents of these vehicles will be strictly controlled and checked upon arrival at Gate I. All vehicles transporting exhibits will not be allowed access and these will be unloaded at the advanced warehouse at Gate I. All freight should be pre-advised with the following shipment details, 24 hours before delivering to the advance warehouse. You should ensure that your vehicles arrive at least 48 hours prior to the exhibit being required at the stand to allow CEVA to unload and transfer to the hall in line with your move in requirements. Vehicles with stand fittings materials will be granted access to the Halls or Chalet areas once space is available and in line with your booking. All exhibit shipments will be unloaded into the CEVA Showfreight Warehouse, please review the newly introduced Materials Handling System Please see applicable charges. Roadfreight Shipments Outside EU Customs Clearance must take place at Dover (NCTS Code GB000060) All vehicles requiring clearance should report to: CEVA Showfreight C/O PJ Shipping Ltd Freight Clearance Centre Western Docks Lord Warden Square, Dover, Kent. 7 Official Shipping and Handling Instructions Courier Shipments Exhibitors should note that courier companies will not be granted access to the Showsite and cannot deliver directly to your stand. All courier shipments will be held at the courier reception at Warehouse G50 located adjacent to Gate A. All shipments must arrive at the Courier reception Customs Cleared with all Duties and Taxes pre-paid. (Shipment terms DDP) Any courier shipments arriving in the UK that requires CEVA Showfreight to intervene to facilitate the customs clearance will incur an intervention fee of 200. Duties and taxes will also be applied at cost +10%. Shipments arriving by Courier cannot be cleared on a temporary basis and taxes will need to be paid. 8 Official Shipping and Handling Instructions All Import / Export Compliance procedures Effective from the 1st January 2016, UK HM Revenue and Customs have changed the regulations with regards to the handling of Exhibition Imports to Events and Exhibitions in the UK. The legislation affects all Exhibitors sending items and exhibits into the UK from outside of the European Union. From the 1st January 2016, all exhibitors are required to register for EORI numbers when importing goods for temporary exhibitions, trade fairs, major sports and cultural or similar events. Therefore, each individual exhibitor will require an EORI number for their import or other customs activity. Exhibitors can complete the simple online registration for an EORI by following the link: Click here for an EORI The application process can take between 3-5 days, so please take this into account when planning the shipping of exhibits into the UK. CEVA Showfreight can help you with your online application and should be contacted in advance to help facilitate this process. Late application for EORI numbers could incur additional charges and delays to shipments. Export Control The UK Export Control Order 2008 controls the exports of strategic goods (Both Military and Dual Use) the transfer of technology and the trade of military or governmental equipment. Both UK and EU Legislation demands that the Exhibitor or Shipper Must declare to CEVA Showfreight, any items that are included in the UK Military List or the EU Dual Use List prior to them leaving at the close of the Exhibition. It is a legal requirement that the correct Export Control procedures be applied at the time of re-export It is therefore important that the exhibitor is aware of the relevant legislation and a declaration is shown clearly on your return shipping instructions and any documentation accompanying your shipment. Bond facility To aid the speedy and efficient Customs clearance of temporary imports into the United Kingdom, CEVA Showfreight has a high threshold bond in place to underwrite potential VAT and Duty. This avoids payment on deposit of large sums of money particularly when expensive equipment or display material is involved. The use of this bond is strictly monitored and a deposit will be required unless CEVA Showfreight handle the re-export of the freight after the close of this years event. Shipments sent to this event by courier/parcel carrier will not be accepted against this Bond facility.

9 Official Shipping and Handling Instructions Domestic freight CEVA Showfreight are of course able to arrange collection from UK premises and deliver directly to stand, please contact us in order to organise a suitable transport schedule for your needs. Alternatively we will accept cargo at our Farnborough warehouse facility. Unloading lifting and positioning We are pleased to be able to offer the services of our fully trained Forklift truck drivers and Banksmen who, as well as unloading and delivering to stand (straight forward and abnormal loads alike) are able to assist with positioning, assembly and dismantling of complex exhibits. The lifting and handling of equipment and exhibits on site and in view of the strict health and safety regulations in place at the airfield, we are the sole providers of such assistance.

10 Official Shipping and Handling Instructions Cherry pickers and hydraulic working platforms CEVA Showfreight can provide cherry pickers and hydraulic working platforms at the published tariff rates. However, CEVA will not provide operators. Anyone wishing to hire this equipment must have operators with the relevant certification. Certification must be provided upon hire. Empty case storage CEVA Showfreight will arrange and coordinate the removal, storage and return of any empty cases that you need looking after for the duration of the show. All empties to be collected from stands by Friday 13 July 2018 Once the site has cleared of visitors and exhibitors on the final show day, we will be allowed by the organiser to begin the return of empty cases to stands. We will work through the night ensuring required empties are back by 0800hrs on Monday 23 July Shell Scheme exhibitorrs can receive empty cases by Friday 20 July if requested. We will also operate an accessible storage area for the duration of FIA Collection / storage of priority empties Return by Friday 20 July Security It is important for exhibitors to make their own security arrangements as CEVA Showfreight will not be responsible for any items left unattended on stands prior to, during or after the event. Payment per cubic metre (min 3 cbm) (this is for shell scheme stands only with small exhibits measuring a maximum of 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5m) Unless freight is routed via one of our appointed Agents we will require payment of all charges, as advised by us, prior to the final day of the show. Personal and foreign cheques will not be taken but advance Bank transfers, cash or major credit cards are all acceptable alternatives. Items in Bold carry a 50% surcharge if carried out before 0800 or after 1800 on weekdays or any time weekends. 100% surcharge is applicable on Public Holidays. Freight remaining in Halls after the tenancy period will be removed to storage at the exhibitors expense. All freight will be charged per cbm and not part there-of.
