2 1 2 / 10 1 Introduction This document is a packaging guideline for all suppliers of Pierburg s.r.o., Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic 1.1 Objective of the document The following document contains packaging requirements of Pierburg CZ. It is a tool for optimal packaging flow, unification of packaging and standardization of packaging units. The packaging guideline has to be adhered to by all suppliers of Pierburg CZ for all standard deliveries. 2 General packaging conditions 2.1 Supplier responsibility Suppliers of Pierburg CZ need to ensure the following conditions: the supplier is responsible for suitability of the packaging for the material transport and material storing all packaging items are sent regarding the agreed packaging data sheet the qty of packaging units (PU) and handling units (HU) are sent regarding the agreed packaging data sheet weight of 1 PU is max. 15 kg, weight of 1 HU is max. 600 kg all pallets carry labels regarding Pierburg's packaging guideline stacking of pallets during transport is managed regarding information on the packaging data sheet all HU are strapped or foiled to ensure stability of all PU on the pallet all material is delivered in clean packaging (no oil, dust, water etc.) mixing of material on 1 HU is not allowed

3 1 3 / Packaging data sheet The packaging data sheet is the official document containing all packaging information for every material number. 4 1 4 / 10 3 Standard packaging 3.1 Returnable packaging Pierburg CZ uses standard VDA-KLT packaging for high running material sent by European suppliers. Ownership of every returnable packaging is defined at the beginning of the serial deliveries in communication between the Pierburg CZ packaging specialist, Pierburg central purchasing department and the supplier. 6 1 6 / Returnable pallets EUROpallet plastic pallet (base 1200x800 or 1200 x 1000) Other returnable packaging Returnable blisters, plastic trays or cross-pieced inserts designed exactly for the concrete part. 3.2 Expendable packaging Expendable packaging is used for low running material or overseas suppliers Cardboards For optimal storing, transport and line-holders placing, the following cardboard dimensions are recommended: base 300 x 200 (height max. 280 mm) base 400 x 300 (height max. 280 mm) base 600 x 400 (height max. 320 mm) base 1200 x 800 (pallet box - height max mm) base 1200 x 1000 (pallet box - height max mm) One-way pallets For European shipments the following dimensions are required: base 1200 x 800 base 1200 x 1000 (in special cases - optimal transport or supplying procedure)

7 1 7 / 10 For overseas shipments the following dimensions are recommended: base 1200 x 800 base 1200 x 1000 Pallets must be designed to be able to carry the material without any damage. The following damages are prohibited: crooked pallet damaged pallet (missing base part) breakable structure of pallet damaged pallet (missing block) unsuitable stacking

8 1 8 / Other expendable packaging Expendable blisters, plastic trays or cross-pieced inserts designed exactly for the concrete part. 4 Labelling and marking Every HU and PU is marked by a label (VDA, Odette, Galia, AIAG etc.) for identification during the receiving process in the incoming area. Every HU and PU is marked by an information symbol for appropriate manipulation. 4.1 Labelling HU (pallet) label required information: Delivery note number - barcode and printed text Pierburg part number - barcode and printed text Quantity of parts on HU - barcode and printed text Supplier name - printed text Customer name - printed text PU (box or KLT) label required information: Pierburg part number - printed text Quantity of parts on HU - printed text The supplier needs to use either "Code 39" or "Code 128". The identifying prefixes for the barcodes are N - delivery note, P - part number, Q - quantity. Labels must be on a visible place and not under foil in order to be easily scanned by RF-readers. The position of the label must be protected against loss or damage.

10 1 10 / Marking For packaging units with specific manipulation the following symbols are required: fragile goods right way up don't store don't store in heat in damp conditions ESD sensitive no cutting stacking prohibited goods 5 Administration All returnable packaging must be stated on the delivery note. The right quantity and type of packaging is required. Every supplier is obliged to provide a contact person with responsibility for packaging movements to Pierburg CZ. All packaging movements and statements of returnable packaging accounts are communicated on a monthly basis with the Pierburg CZ responsible person for returnable packaging. 5.1 Contact persons Packaging specialist Milan Boháček, Packaging administrator Barbora Bílková, , Logistics manager Pavlína Vodrážková,
