1 Meaningful Use Stage 1 Objective Immunization Registries Data Submission (Menu) Please note: at least 1 public health reportable must be chosen for MU Stage 1. Meaningful Use Stage 2 Objective Immunization Registries Data Submission (Core)- Ongoing Submission Capability to submit electronic data to immunization registries or immunization information systems. This involves several areas of set up. CPT Code Set Up Each vaccine item must have the appropriate CPT code attached in the item master. To find the correct CPT, the following link may be used: Pathway: Hospital Base Menu>Master Selection>Business Office Tables>Table Maintenance>Control Tab>Item Master> Item Master Revision Date: 03/03/2014 CLIENT DISTRIBUTION Page 1

2 Search for item Double click applicable item Confirm and/or load the correct CPT Code. (See website mentioned above for correct CPT codes) If changes are made, select Save. Please Note: some items may require a non-cdc CPT code in the Default FC CPT code field for billing purposes. That billing CPT code must be tied to the correct CVX code (see below section) for the vaccine item in CPT Table Maintenance, so the items information will pull to the interface message. 3 Vaccine Manufacturer Set Up The correct manufacturer must be listed on page 1 of the Pharmacy information page. Pathway: Hospital Base Menu > Master Selection > Business Office Tables > Table Maintenance > Control Tab > Item Master > Item or Service Search Search for item Single click item Select Pharmacy Information Manufacturer information should be located here. If there is no Manufacturer listed, the best practice is to use the NDC lookup and repull the NDC. This will pull the associated manufacturer. If this does not work, the manufacturer can be typed in, being very careful to input the correct manufacturer and spelled correctly. 4 CVX code and Vaccine Designation setup The current immunization set up can be viewed in the immunization table (this is view only, but very helpful in gathering needed information). Pathway: Hospital Base Menu > Master Selection > Business Office Tables > Table Maintenance > Clinical > Immunization Table Immunization Table You can view it to see if it has CPT This table will show the CPT codes that are currently attached to a CVX code. 12 Refusal Reason and SNOMED Codes for Omit Reason SNOMED codes should be loaded to the Omit Reasons. When creating site specific omit reasons, SNOMED codes and Refusal Reasons must be attached.
