2 A trio of new products are now available, broadening the 3M reclosable fastener product line. And a new demo tool has been created that incorporates them into an easy way for you to remind your customers that we have a great line of products to meet their attachment needs. We want to help simplify the product line for you so you can focus on the top Go- To products that will meet the majority of your customers needs. New Demo Tool: The top three products represent our top selling 3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fasteners. It is designed to demonstrate the three stem densities: 170, 250, and 400. The top product represents our SJ3540/41/42 series with a rubber based adhesive. The next two products represent SJ3560/61/62 and SJ3550/51/52 series with acrylic adhesives. We ve included both a clear and black sample designed to show customers the color options.

3 New 3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastener: The fourth Dual Lock reclosable fastener strip is our brand new series: SJ3870/71/72. This product now combines all the benefits of Dual Lock reclosable fasteners with our 3M VHB Tape 5952 adhesive technology. So if you are demonstrating 3M VHB 5952 and the customer requires access or reclosability, now you have a companion product in Dual Lock reclosable fasteners. All the great 3M VHB Tape 5952 customer benefits apply: Good for indoor and outdoor applications Bonds to most LSE surfaces without surface priming or abrading a great time saver! Including most paints, powder coats, glass, acrylic, and polycarbonate Combines high strength with conformability to irregular rigid surfaces Provides adhesion to the broadest range of substrates at higher temperatures than rubber adhesives Here is a quick visual showing the positioning of these four products. You can quickly and easily look at substrate and temperature requirements to find the right solution for your customer. This new product line will be stocked in 3 widths: ½, 1 and 2 x 50 yds. It can also be ordered in ¾, 1 ½, and 6. All of the pricing is available on PS2 in the US system. Overall, in the US here is where the pricing falls on average: SJ3870 series is approximately 4% more than SJ3550 series w/acrylic adhesive SJ3870 series is approximately 10% less than SJ3560 series w/acrylic adhesive Target those accounts that have difficult substrates to bond to, or that require the strength of 3M VHB Tape but need the option of reclosability.

This product is being introduced as a Go To product for most general purpose attachment needs. Here are the customer benefits: Made with an aggressive, tacky acrylic PSA that bonds on contact to many materials Good for low energy surface substrates Good heat resistance to 180 degrees F Combines flexible backing and an adhesive that conforms to many contours Reliability in indoor and outdoor applications, including humid conditions Advantaged priced to meet most needs The product comes in 1, 1 ½, and 2 width. It is made to order. All of the pricing is available on PS2 in the US system. Overall, in the US here is where the pricing falls on average: SJ3546/47 is approximately 15% less than SJ3526N/27N SJ3546/47 is approximately 19% less than SJ3532N/33N Be sure to target those accounts that need a great product at a great price!! Look back at accounts that felt we were just too high and introduce them to this new product, backed by 3M s reputation for quality, delivery, and tech service support. For military applications, we do have Berry Amendment compliant options as well.

A loop of the red material is included with the demo tool on a 3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastener snap piece. Why customers will love this product: No adhesive tape residue or waste No knotted strings No cutting to remove plastic wire or strapping Soft, pliable construction is gentle on finished surfaces More reliable and predictable than rubber bands or string Cost effective since it can be used up to 10 times This product now comes in both Red and Black. This product is available in ½, ¾, 1, 2, and 9 widths, all in 50 yd rolls. A 9 width with 100 yds is also an option. US pricing is $25.14 net price per roll for 1, and $50.29 net price per roll for 2. Target accounts that often bundle, move, or re-bundle, numerous times. Especially around valuable finished goods or parts that need careful handling. This product is like Post-It Notes: Once a customer starts using it, they can t imagine what they did before! Sample it generously and you ll soon be getting requests for more. We have also produced some of this material printed on the back at a US converter. On the back side of each product piece are key benefits bullet points. It is NOT for leaving behind with customers, they are meant to be sales tools for demonstration. They have been sent out to Bonding and STA reps in the US and are being prepared for shipment to subsidiary marketing personnel. Mini Training Slides We ve created a very quick and easy mini training slide series that is coordinated with the demo tool. There are a couple of overview slides on 3M Dual Lock and Scotchmate Reclosable Fasteners and then only one slide for each of the samples on the demo too. Use the slides combined with the demo tool for a quick lunch and learn to refresh your customers mind about 3M fastener products. You ve got new products to discuss! F lyers Three flyers are available: one for each of the products discussed here: SJ3870/71/72, SJ3546/47, and SJ3000. These are all linked to the Hooked on Fastening campaign and available in Sales Portal in the US. These attachments will be provided for international subsidiaries. R evised Sample Bag The Fastening Sample Bag has been updated with a sample of each of the three newly highlighted products. They are in a small bag with the card shown below and now enclosed in the current sampling bag. The stock number did not change, but as of Feb 1 all sample bags will now have the three products enclosed.
