LOGO DESIGN BRIEF TEMPLATE
Logo Design Brief Template Introduction This document has been designed to help us to develop a clear understanding of your logo design requirements. Please provide this information in as much detail as possible to enable us to clearly understand your requirements and, therefore, create a logo that is aligned with your goals, values and ethos, focused on your target market and supported throughout your organisation. 1. About You 1.1 Business Name: 1.2 Trading Name(s): 1.3 Company Number: (if appropriate) 1.3 VAT Number: (if appropriate): 1.4 Trading Address: 1.5 Telephone Number(s): 1.6 Address(es): 1.7 Web Site Address(es):
2. About Your Business 2.1 What Does Your Business Do? Briefly explain what your business is all about - be as descriptive as possible and sell what you do. Consider what you would say in less than 30 seconds to someone who knows nothing about your business that would give them a clear understanding of what you do and inspire them to buy from you. 2.2 Describe your Products and/or Services Please list all of the products and/or services that you provide or will provide that will be branded using this new logo. Please be very specific with this information and include any products/services that will or may be co-branded.
2.3 Target Market(s) Describe your primary target market(s) in as much detail as possible. This may be the business sector, the consumer sector or both. It may be local, regional, national or international. Please note that your future market may be different from your existing market so be sure to distinguish between the two. 2.4 Your Ideal Customers Please describe what your ideal customers look like. If your customers are other businesses, consider things like what size are they, number of staff, turnover, etc. If they are consumers, consider things like age, income, marital status, etc. Be as specific as possible so that we can gain an understanding of the target audience that the new logo is to appeal to.
2.5 Your Marketing Activity & Materials Please describe what marketing activities you undertake at the moment and may undertake in the future (e.g. newspaper, magazines, TV, etc.). In addition, what marketing and promotional materials do you currently use or may use in the future (e.g. brochures, web site, social media, promotional merchandise. etc.)? Giving as much detail as possible will enable us to ensure that your new logo will work in all of the different formats that you use. 2.6 Stationery What stationery do you use at the moment and are likely to use in the future (e.g. letterhead, compliment slips, invoices, business cards, etc.)?
3. About Your Logo 3.1 Customer Perception List words or phrases that best describe the overall emotion, mood and impression that you want your logo to convey to existing and prospective customers (for example professional, fun, cheap, expensive, etc.). 3.2 What Logos Inspire You? Please list (or attach) logos that you have seen that you particularly like and/or that inspire you and may help define the style of your brand. 3.3 Colours Please list any colours that you would either like to incorporate in your logo and/or that you do not want to use.
3.4 Logo Wording Please detail the exact words or acronyms that are to be included in your new logo (if any). This will normally be the name of your business or product/service (for example, BlueIce Brands ). 3.5 Tag Line If you have an existing tag line which should either form part of the new logo or will be used along with the new logo from time to time, please write it below. If you do not have a tag line then we would suggest that you consider creating one since a good tag line can often form the foundations of the visual direction of the logo (for example, our tag line is Creating Brands That Work ). 3.6 Logo-Specific Images Do you have any specific images, symbols and/or icons that you feel sum up who you are and what you do and want to be incorporated into your logo? If yes, please supply copies of them or describe them is as much detail as possible.
4. Other Information Please provide any other information not provided above that will help us to create a logo that best meets your needs.
