China s aluminum fabrication industry completed a fixed assets investment of RMB177.7bln yuan in 2015, down by 9.56% from 2014, which was the first negative growth in recent years. Meanwhile, the total profit was RMB 51.59bln yuan, up by 5.6% from 2014, but the growth rate declined. While the industrial scale was expanded constantly, problems such as decline of operation rate, poor innovation ability, weak profitability, etc, are emerging, which show that China s aluminum fabrication industry is now undergoing a critical stage of structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading, while, improvement of aluminum application level and cultivation of new growth points of consumption have become necessary guarantees for future sustainable development of China s aluminum fabrication industry As a kind of Green Metal, aluminum has excellent characteristics such as lightweight and easy to recycle, etc. New application fields have emerged constantly in recent years, for example, products like aluminum commercial vehicles, aluminum template, aluminum cladding panel, aluminum cable, aluminum- air battery have formed or are forming a certain scale. In the futre, aluminum has huge exploration spaces in new materials, new energy, electric vehicles, new-type buildings, package and containers, etc. Exploring new aluminum applications have become hot topics in production and applicaiton sectors.
